I've been meaning to do this for quite some time and just never got around to it.

Goals of this write up are to:

    - Provide real life experiences with said modifications and products
    - Post information on trips, where the truck has been and where it's going

    How the truck currently sits:
Accutune Fox 2.5 RR’s front and rear
    SPC UCA's
Icon RXT Leaf Pack - Option 3 (highest)
    285/75/18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers
C4 Fab Overland Bumper w/ Extreme LED light bar and BD SAE Fog lights and LP9’s
    ARE CX Topper
    Prinsu TopRac
SwitchPro 9100 with Powertrays Standoff Mount
    RCI Sliders
    RCI Engine Skid
    RCI Tran Skid
    Spidertrax 1.25" wheel spacers

    Misc. Mods:
    - TRD PRO Grill
    - Color Matched mirror caps
    - Black door handles
    - TRD PRO BBS Forged wheels
    - Baja Design S2 Pods for the rear

A little background information leading up to the tundra purchase. Coming from a Tacoma, it was a hesitant transition. I loved and hated the Tacoma for a lot of reasons. The truck could go anywhere, tons of aftermarket support, but the small gas tank, drivetrain and non-existent backseat killed me. After 3 years of ownership and 72,000 miles.... I pulled the trigger and moved to the Tundra. Here is a pic of the Tacoma on it's last trip before selling:

    DSC00894.jpg DSC00889.jpg

    Purchased the truck on 8/30/2019
2019 Toyota Tundra, Limited Crewmax, Superwhite
From the dealer, it came with a spacer lift and some BFG KO2's. The spacer lift was removed within a few weeks of ownership.

After removing the factory spacer lift, I opted for the Bilstein 6112 / 5160. This was a significant improvement over the spacer and stock shocks.
Running 1.9" up front and stock height in the back.
    BFG K02 275/70/18

Also added the front runner roof rack

Further nitpicking, refining and dialing in that exact stance I wanted...

Added 3 CB shims (2/1) up front, and Toytec Shackles in the rear at 1"
Bumped my tire size up to 285/75/18 (34.8x11)
Removed the roof rack... I like using my sun roof and the rack really took away the enjoyment. I knew a topper was in my future so space was going to be re-gained at some point
    Added RCI sliders

In prep for our tour out west, I search on FB Marketplace for a used topper... and got extremely lucky! 1 week prior to departure, I drove to Louisville KY and got an ARE. The peace of mind this provided for us as we traveled cross country was worth every penny.

September of 2020, my job was fully remote and we took advantage of not being in the office. So -we hit the open road. Taking off from Nashville, our first stop would be Denver, CO. I used to live in Denver, so visiting friends who I hadnt seen in some time was a priority. From there, we would be able to explore the rest of CO and beautiful West..

Post road trip, Covid was really settling in and there was a clear demand for toppers. Without seeing a long term need, I sold mine to a local tundra owner and continued to change up the look of the truck.

TRD Pro BBS Forged Wheels =) - I have always been a fan of the black on white look. Timeless and classic in my opinion

    Icon Stage 8!!!!!!!!!!

Once again browsing for a deal, I found a brand new Icon Stage 8 kit that a fellow tundra owner was selling. He had ordered this kit pre-covid with the anticipation of building up a Tundra. Well, things changed and he decided to sell the Tundra and buy a Power Wagon.

So, I gladly took the Icon kit off his hands and got my local shop to install
    2.5 Resi's front and rear

Early 2021 has come and I preorder a few items
    1) C4 Fab Overland Bumper with Extreme LED Light bar and Baja Designs SAE Fog Lights
    2) Another topper.... ARE CX with Windoors - I had a topper on my Tacoma and loved it. I honestly started to have sellers remorse on selling my used ARE from a few months back, but purchasing my own directly allowed me to get exactly what I wanted - which was really the side access windoors.
    3) Ironman ditch lights and ditch light brackets from Amazon (may be Caliraised?)
    3) Prisnu TopRac

Oddly - all of these came within 2-3 weeks of one another so I stock piled and installed all at once

Just in the last week, I have added a few other accessories and lighting.

    - Swithpro 9100
    - Baja Design S2 Scene Pods on the prinsu
    - Powertrays Standoff mount to clean up some under the hood

I went with factory again. Had to replace the whole wire as well. Now I'm more careful.
Amazon has some nice billet terminals. You can also upgrade your battery since you will running more aftermarket electric gear.

Did you have the Spidertrax wheels spacers on with the stock trd off road wheels and 285/75s? And when did you put switch the Icon for the OME suspension?

Sure do! Completely overlooked the wheel spacers. Those are spidertrax 1.25"

As for the OME swap, that was a recent transition. After moving from CO to TN, I wasn't in "need" of Icons anymore. Don't get me wrong, the truck drove incredible with that setup but after a while and national shortages, I wanted to resort to something a bit more simple and easy to maintain.

How do you like the OME setup? An do you have UCA's with the OME? I've had OME and IronMan4x4 on two different vehicles but have never had either on a Tundra.

Once again, overlooked the UCA's! Lol. Too many parts to keep up with, hence this write up.

I am running SPC UCA's. So far so good. Ran them on my Tacoma as well and no issues over 70K miles.

As for my experience with OME, they are fair. I don't love them. They were much better on my Tacoma but it seems OME dropped the ball when developing the kit for the Tundra. There is another write up on here somewhere of other forum users and their experience with OME and Iron man... They both seem to struggle with consistency. Some have great experiences and others have ended up with 5" lifts.. even though the kits advertise 2-3". Happy to educated more on the OME side if you decide to go that route!

That all being said, I likely will run OME for the time being. May resort back to the 6112 / 5160 combo or try Fox the next go around.

Dual battery is in the next phase of work so I will likely do it all at once. Will see what Amazon has to offer!

Awesome! What was your wiring route from the lights on the back? I have been planning to do the same, just not sure about how I wanna run the wires... was thinking across the shell-rack and then between the cab/bed but I'm not sure.

That is exactly what I did. Down the topper channel that holds the rack, then down between the bed / cab / follow the frame and up into the engine bay. This is a temporary solution as I leave next week for a 4 week trip out west. Once I am back, I will likely drill into the topper and feed wires via grommet for a cleaner look

Great build! I’m jealous you live in Nashville! I would like to maybe move out that way some day! I’m getting tired of this Az heat.

    Thanks!

Nashville is a great place to call home. While we don't have the vast mountains and access to BLM / National Forests, there is still plenty to offer. Just prepare for the humidity!! lol
