How does that hug buddy mount to the dash and where did you find it?

They have them at O'Reilly Auto Parts. They come with a sticky back tape base mount but I removed the base, drilled a hole in the switch blank, and used the nut and bolt that held on the base plate to attach it to the switch blank. I put some 2min epoxy on the nut, screw, and base since I was never going to remove it from the switch blank and to make sure that the Hug Buddy never came loose.

Since you will be moving/adjusting the holder taking your phone in and out the epoxy will not let the screw, nut, and holder come loose from the switch blank.

Can you still pop the switch blank then get a new one if you want to do something else later on?

Yes. Same with the ones that I used for the XM. If I ever decide sell the truck I can pull my stuff out and put it back to original easy enough.

Way to go Jim, it's hard to sell a hacked up truck. I like to be careful what and how I do things to.

I kept my last Taco 10 years so I hope that this Tundy will be around for longer. If that Taco could have pulled a little better it would still be in my driveway.

I kept my 2000 tundra 16 yrs. Same here, I wanted more truck! I do miss the ease of parking and size for trails. Great old truck, wish I could have kept it and got the 13. But five vehicles is to many to maintain and I needed the cash for the down payment!

Bigger truck is what happens when you acquire more toys. The new Big Black Moose should pull the RV pretty well. Was right on the edge on size behind my Tacoma. With out the Sway Bar hitch it could not have handled it. Trailer loaded down will be less than 4,500#s behind the Tundra.
