Chances of me towing anything with my truck are slim and none. Slim left town and none just booked a flight to never never land.

So looking at that ugly hitch/receiver on my 2021 SR5 thinking it does not add to the lean mean look I am going for (recently removed the running boards).

Can the receiver be removed easily without any impact to the bumper support, etc? I crawled under the rear end and gave a quick look. It appears to be just part of or welded to the bumper support. If that is the case, I will leave as is. But am I seeing things correctly or did I miss a few bolts that might be tucked into the frame/support some place?

The hitch attaches to the frame. You can remove it without affecting anything on the bumper.

You can remove it. Why don't you add a nice hitch cover or even a bumper/step?

    I did this.

Bike rack, hitch rack? If not, I'd just cover it with one of the many decorative inserts before I'd remove it. But, it's your truck.

Bed lined, tinted all 5 windows, hose clamped tailgate, toolbox, steps, ESP rear seat storage bins, dash cam, anytime camera switch, console safe, pop a lock for tailgate and wheels/flares, sway bar. I have Techstream if anyone local needs it.
For what it's worth, I'd leave it on. That receiver hitch provides a substantial amount of additional protection should you ever get hit in the back... Just my 2 cents...

    Alot of them
The hitch is the strongest thing back there. I can tell you that from pulling my bumper off and upgrading, the bumper bolts to the hitch. The rear bumpers on these trucks won't stand up to anything more than a shopping cart.

That is pretty much what I saw looking at it yesterday. Well, it was a nice thought none the less.

I put a hitch on mine to avoid some some Stevie wonder hitting my bumper, and I don’t tow much, only Home Depot rental or help friends.
