I have found my Lib Tech Travis Rice snowboard from the late 90' along with boots, bindings.
My question is it any of it worth anything? All of it is very good cond. used maybe 3 times.

    Thanks

Whats a snowboard doing in Florida? o_O

The graphics are sweet on that board! The snobs will say its old, outdated, what have you. I have a newer board (2015 model) and an older board (late 90s I think) and I will say they both ride fine. I hate the snobs.

That said, I would post it for sale at what seems fair to you. Bindings might be the harder part to sell on their own because replacement straps might be hard to come by for that model.

I’d ride the fuhk out of a 90’s Lib Tech, but in FL you’ll be hard pressed to use it much. Ship it up to me!

(The boots won’t fit me though)

Seriously, though, that’s tough to tell. Nostalgia might snag a little extra, but older boards tend to be heavier and the materials used aren’t the latest fanciest thing so you won’t ever get near what it probably is worth (to @Darkness point about snobs). And you’re not in a market/region where people are really shopping for that either.

Lib Tech did (and still does, under the Mervin umbrella along with Gnu) make some of the best boards ever. They are on my short list to replace my ‘95 K2 Eldorado 169 when I finally retire it.

If you weren’t physically the farthest distance from me in the CON US, I might make an offer…cuz I like to run old school (stayed a board in my feet the first time in ‘87). But shipping that would be $$

I tad off the subject, but I had some wakeboards that were about ten years old. I tried to sell them but nobody would even respond. It sucks because I no longer had the boat and I did not want to donate them. Everybody nowadays wants the latest and greatest.

    I agree with @RainMan_PNW 100%
Very cool to see that Lib still has the same style for the graphics too. Next board I get will be a Lib or a Gnu, preferably a Lib.

Hopefully you get some nostalgia points on a sale. I know older skateboards sell high if in fair shape.

I’d say you could probably fetch a pretty good dollar for both the boots and board+bindings, especially with how people are throwing money around these days..

For reference, I sold a 2007 burton vapor in 2019 for $200, here in San Diego. And the board was well used. Not trashed but needed love.

    good luck!

Doughboy Shredder 198 - still one of the most unique boards I've ever tried. You won't be park riding this beast, but dropping a steep groomer it's like riding a Cadillac. Most skis I see on the mountain any more aren't as long as this board.

I remember when the Doughboy's came out and to the shop. I use to work here https://www.switchskateandsnow.com/ they have new owners and new location. The old shop was an old house spray painted/artwork, if you walk by you would walk in just to see what's going on. It was great, art shows, sk8 comp's, we also sponsored Danny Kass not for long but it was cool. BacktoBack 1080's 2002 Olympic's...

Some of the bigger resorts will open at the beginning of October if it’sa good year. Some day I’ll pony up the $$ to ride CO.

I’ve seriously considered more than once saying ef-it to my day job and being a liftie in the winter and then finding something else seasonal in the summer.
That mortgage payment sort of brings me back down to earth…
Working on retiring early in about 9 years, and might give it a go then. Or just get a job at a local shop selling gear

A couple of years ago I broke out my K2 from the 90's with the original bindings.... The straps basically all disintegrated while trying to strap them up before getting on the chair lift. I ended up having to get a rental.

My original clicker boots disintegrated years ago, and then I made the mistake of tossing the bindings. Now I’ve just got some cheap Rossi bindings on it, but needed to be sure I was ready to get fully back in the sport after over ten years away from it.
I’m probably gonna upgrade the bindings this year for a little better control (got really nice boots last year). Then upgrade the board in another year or two, maybe. I really do still love my ‘95 K2. Wish I’d kept my ‘93 Nitro Diablo and my original Mistral split tail from ‘87. But back then you had to sell one to afford the next one.

Ugh, I haven't even been the last couple years. All my friends are too old now.

I mean, I probably am too... I'm just not that smart. Gotta' get up the hill this winter for sure, I miss it.
