    Appreciate it!

I did get the front locker installed, the 4.56 gears and added a resonator to the exhaust and fixed a leak at the transfer case.

Still waiting on my Brute Force rear bumper, sliders and Archive Garage leaf springs.

Other than that, I'm definitely getting rid of the BAMuffler and going to try a stock muffler with the side exit. It's just too loud exiting so close to the cab and the extra noise from the headers doesn't help. I'm also getting rid of my LS460 so this will be my main daily (if you want to call it that since we're not driving much right now) so def can't handle that all the time!

No pictures right now....hopefully I can get my fan into the topper if it wouldn't rain for 1-day!

I love it and it's a beautiful car but....I have a few things pushing me to just let it go right now.
    • 3 vehicles currently - LS only one with a payment
    • Car Payment + Insurance + Car wash subscription = $750/month
    • Barely driving due to working from home
    • No garage at the current house so the car sits outside under oak trees - reason for car wash subscription
    • Working on building a $500k house at the end of the year (pending economy)
    • Pending economy, if it did go to crap, I don't have to worry about trying to offload a car when nobody will be buying
    • Want a chunk of land up north (this is if i find the right lot I want to be able to jump on it but not the highest on the priority list)

So with all that going on, just feel like it's the right time to let it go, get my finances in a better spot to start my home build at the end of the year, OR be prepared if the economy does tank. Will get something a bit faster when I'm ready to go back to a third vehicle.

I just have a spintech sportsman street muffler replacement and stock piping with jba shorties. Sounds great zero drone, cheap to do. Unless you want sleeper status with stock muffler.

And how do you like the gears? Happy with 4.56 or wishing for 4.88?

Really happy with them! Def glad I didn't go 4.88.

Have about 300 miles on them so still 200 to go until break in is over but crushing at 60 to 70 is good. Just need to update this exhaust.. that's driving me nuts!!

Tundra has been my DD for 16 years....hopefully another 16.
If your tall do a seat bracket mod for more legroom. Did that last year, absolute gamechanger (I’m 6’5”).

It was a custom job, nothing off the shelf you can buy to get it done. HUGE difference for me, very happy.

Installed https://yellr.com/ and my speedo is perfect. Depending on your year you need a different application, if its 03-04 you need a splice kit to intercept from your ABS unit, if its 99-02 its a plug and play off the transmission/transfer case. Either way worth the money and you can recalibrate it for bigger / smaller tires (it comes with a base calibration thought which was helpful and dead nuts when I installed).

Darkeness did a really nice writeup on this with great info for all applications, reference that thread.

So, a lot has happened since I last posted. Below is all the details!

    • LS460 sold!
    • Steering Shaft Seal - Installed - This helped with the cab noise a LOT!
    • ACTUALLY fixed my exhaust leak at the collectors - used OEM gaskets (should have done this a while ago - might just keep the BAMuffler now..Still loud but much better overall)
    • Received & Installed my Bruteforce Fab Sliders & Rear Bumper
    • Received & Installed Archive Garage Shackleton Leaf Springs & Speed Bump Stops
    • Installed coupes TRD battery tie-down bracket
    • Installed another set of latches for the drawer setup - with the truck higher in the rear I may need to rethink this setup!

    Few things left to do:

    • Skidrow protection
    • 5th rim/wheel
    • Route exhaust through bed
    • replace windshield - cracked
    • fix driver seat
    • Finish drawer setup
    • Finish max fan installation
    • Add rear bumper lights
    • Figure out awning/potential rack for topper
    • Consider Trigger4Plus
    • Finish bumper install - need the plate flipper/7pin/fabricator lost 3 screws for the table fold down
    • Solar panel and some additional camping gear
    • Paint slider welds so they don't rust
The most expensive item left is the skid plates. Everything else is relatively small and I don't count camping gear into the money spent on the truck. Will post final costs once im "done".

    Anyway, on to the pics!

Looking really good. This gives me a pretty good idea of what my truck would look like with that rear bumper. Love it!

    Few more updates.
    • 5th rim/tire installed
    • skidrow plates installed (1 was out of stock so waiting on this still)
    • Compustar alarm installed
    • High Angel CV boots
    • Diff fluid change (1000 mile gear break-in)
    • Wired MaxxFan via 12v cigarette lighter plug to use with my MaxOak generator.

Still need to get my front windshield taken care of. Trim a bit of the rear fender well to clean that up and paint the slider arms to prevent rusting.
I also need to finish the bed up and get it prepared. Trying to get a camp trip in the right after christmas.

    Great looking truck @imDementeD
I've been perusing your build and I'm wondering on post# 62 what you mean by "Connected head unit to steering wheel"
Do you have steering wheel controls stock in your 03? Or did you go aftermarket, and what did you get?

The stock steering wheel has volume and station/song change so I was able to figure out which wire did what and connected them. Although, the changing station only works on the "Up" from my recollection.

wheel controls are done with 3 wires. you need a computer thingy mabob to program the controls to.. i think the maestro? you can also add the bluetooth controls onto the wheel and not have to add any wires. they all use the same 3 wires.

@empty_lord - That's correct. I only wanted the volume to work as the placement of the radio while driving doesn't make it overly easy to get to for volume changes so I was able to get that to work by programming it within the radio.

So far I really like them. The front ended up higher than I expected so this leveled my truck out really well. They also ride MUCH better than before. Hitting a bump doesn't jar like before.

    I went HD.

Really nice build, you have done some mods that I plan on for my 05 ac. BF front and rear bumpers with sliders. 14 wa conversion soon also.
Would like to hear your thoughts now on gearing and front locker, also on brake conversion, again awesome build.

    Appreciate the compliments! Feedback below:

    • Brakes - Huge improvement over what I had. The pedal is still a little mushy but they stop extremely well.
    • Gearing - Big improvement and glad I didn't go 4.88s. About as tall as I'd want to go for any interstate travel.
    • Locker - I hate to admit that I've only been offroading once since the installation of this. It's definitely something I need to learn/understand more. While in 4x4 the steering wheel wants to straighten back out when turning which is really weird to me (makes sense if you know how it works but wasn't expecting it). I didn't actually NEED this during my trip to the woods but it did make the handling tougher than when I was in 2wd.
    Hope that helps!

    Big update!

Bought a car to go with my truck. A good friend of mine said I have to be the only person in the country to own an AMG GTS & a FGT. After thinking about it, I bet he's right! Anyway here's the new car.

And because I have a problem I've already ordered:

    • Lowering springs
    • Carbon Fiber Wing
    • Tune
    • Found a local set of wheels I'm going to look at this weekend!

That is one of the baddest cars around. Very underrated. Would love to get some photos or videos with some sound. I really really like that car. I'm jealous. Congrats

I do need to take some! I just had it tuned to 606whp and 670wtq. The thing is a BEAST now. Scared to mash the pedal now haha

Where did you land with your exhaust? Just got a tune last week and my stock piping / muffler replacement is definitely holding me back. I don't want stupid loud, just performance so the blower can do its job.

Trucks looking great, glad you're happy with the 4.56 gearset!

I'm actually installing the 70 series Flowmaster I bought back in December this week. Since getting the car the truck has been sitting for the most part but I need to start daily driving it again to keep miles off the car.

I'll let you know how it sounds. Sorry took so long to respond!!
