Anyone try one of the knockoff TRD shift knobs on Amazon?

Someone on here has it but I think he had to modify it because it was loose IIRC.

I got one off of eBay…wasted $45. Would never tighten and eventually the inner bolt came loose and rendered it unusable.

I bought the cf version off cartrimhome, saw it on trail4runner website, and the quality was surprisingly nice.

Took almost 1 month for shipping, but at that price, I'm not gonna complain.

I was given a knock off one as a gift. The internal threads snapped off upon first install. The OEM TRD one is worth every penny in my opinion.

I believe I paid something like $60-70 for OEM. Not worth it in my opinion.

Before I installed my custom made one, I purchased a TRD type one off of eBay. I must have been lucky because it worked perfectly.

I bought one couple weeks ago. The thread feels like it will go forever, lol. I believe someone said they added threadlock and it helped. The one I got is also missing the "TRD" logo on top.

Just know when to stop…mine was the same, always had a little play in it so I kept tightening it until it popped the internal nut and was useless.

Yeah I keep an idea on how far the old one went so I just matched it like that. It does turn a bit when it gets bump but no big deal.

I have an Amazon one. Must have gotten the 1 good one of the batch because it tightened up just fine. Has been on for almost a year now and it does what it is supposed to with no complaints. I specifically bought it because I wanted the design but not the TRD logo, because......well my truck isnt a TRD.

My TRD one (stock? not sure) has been loose from the day I got it, and I haven't figured how to tighten it up.
