    well since that problem is solved - if anyone is still interesting in diagnosing garage door issues - i have two old worm-gear Genie openers, and two cars have been using the openers daily. After adding the truck to the family last year, i dug out the spare remote and put a new battery in it. I programmed it to the openers and everything seems to work fine, but only for a day. It's like the spare remote can only store the frequency for a short period of time and i have no idea why...

    Any thoughts?

    Have you tried clearing the pairing on the openers and re-pairing all of the remotes?

    Depends on the brand, but usually there's a sequence of button presses on the "learning" button on the opener. If it's not listed on the back or side of the unit, you should be able to google the model and find it pretty quick.

    That explained a lot for me, thanks for sharing. When my brother had some issues with opening the garage door, he asked to fix it this company ( link: https://a1garage.com/garage-door-repair/ ), and as I know - they always have provided the best repair service for that garage. Did you hear something about them?
