For simplicity sake I would probably just go with 13WL's. I'm assuming that's what you mean. Never heard of 13WA's on our trucks.

Mountain hatch tailgate panel in, looking into bed mat options, don’t look like any good ones.

Tacoma is so refined by comparison. Especially the tailgate lowering.

Ok, quick recap for my own assistance because I’m forgetful.

Timing belt — done by dealer.
Interior LED bulbs — mostly done, red map lights TBD.
Tailgate — mountain hatch installed, tailgate heavy, torsion rod purchase and tbd
Shell chmsl replaced and functional, yay. Contemplating shell repaint
    Front grille tbd
    Front bumper tbd
Rear bumper ordered — BFF standard
Sliders — trying to order from BFF
Water pump, serpentine belt & tensioner, sequoia alternator & big 3 cables, group 31 battery in progress, assigned to speed freak, blocked a bit by radiator, contemplating a battery relocate.
radiator — stalled waiting on cold case product launch at the end of October, backup plan is mishimoto if it lags
brakes — front disk kit from stoptech, maybe should have spent a bit more. Read drums are speed freak’s call once he gets into them.
Tie rods — inner and outer w boots and clamps, parts waiting on install. Not sure if there is anything else worth doing concurrently with these or if there is any overlap with the engine work.
Fox suspension (hopefully ordered from @memario1214 )
Leaf springs (need to bug Deaver to get that ordered)
Taillights — went with 05-06 red / clear and ordered VLED bulbs
Headlights — new OEM and will add custom harness w sealed relays
Corner signal lights — DEPO aftermarket ordered w VLED switchback, designing custom @Puppypunter harness.
shell led strip lighting received, pending install
Shell fuse box received, pending install
RedArc brake controller received, pending install
Gentex mirror received, pending install. Might put it in the Tacoma and get another one.

New starter arrived, mishimoto radiator inbound, group 31 cage as well just b/c, hope to be able to relocate it.

In other news, my buddy who owned the Tundra for the past 11 years and got a Kia to replace it decided the Kia was too lame for the boat and trailer and just got a 2021 DCLB SR5 in MGM so we are near twinsies. Kind of lame for me to steal my Tundra back but I sure hope he is happier with the back seat for the doggies.

Dropped off starter and Fox coil overs with the truck today. Starting to get excited for this next chapter. Curious to see how different it feels.

Thinking through my wheel situation. I have 6 oem steel spare wheels and a plethora of not special tires.

I’m tempted to try to design my own trailer.

two six lug axles with brakes
Flat bed with tie downs so I could haul the Tundra with the Tacoma or the Tacoma with the Tundra or a motorcycle or atv
Feet at all four corners to allow leveling on sloped ground.
Detachable cage for RTT and modular kitchen as well as lumber hauling
Fence sides for green waste transport.

Seems potentially doable to me. I might look into this down the road.

While looking over my truck this afternoon I couldn't help but notice what a POS the bumper is. The PO did some nice driving by brail for sure. On the upside, he used it which was the entire point. And, it's a chrome brick so it has to die. But I sure can't wait for the steel replacement to be ready b/c that OEM one is going in the trash big time.

Note to self on Tundra harness work so I don’t forget:

    1. FGT DIR for @shifty` (waiting on final lengths to plate connectors)
    2. Signal marker T taps x 2 for @Tundra2

Got the shell back from the painter today. Got the grille painted as well, just not installed. Attempted to install gas struts and found out they are too short, sigh. No easy way with these old trucks.

booked appointments for a new shell boot and decal install next Tuesday. Hunting for more blackout decals as I face only Tundra and I need 3 Toyotas

Billy at BFF made a set for me that I didn't realize he had agreed to do b/c he never took a deposit. He can probably ship (probably not cheap). But that's for FGT, you're talking 05 Tacoma yes?

Or maybe you're talking the cement dream? Just realized it's '05, always remember as '06.

Ohh whenever I say 05 I mean the tundra. I refer to all my cars when I’m at home by their year. It’s easier because I own so many tacomas

Not sure that scheme is going to be an adequate unique identifier for too much longer...

Yeah, hit up Billy tomorrow. I think they are ready to go. He can ship to you un-pc'd so any scratches won't be a problem, just get a local shop for that part.

Money ain’t there right now lol otherwise I would. Gotta wait a month or two. Unexpected taco purchase hurt the wallet a bit.

Going to go with these are custom. I am looking for something similar, maybe not as long and with 'flats' for getting into the cab (wife is vertically challenged). Local as well (relatively as SD is spacious).

Did you get the correct struts for the shell? I drove to LEER and matched mine up there to prevent multiple trips/installs. IIRC I got my T-handles from Amazon. How did the headlight output change with the new harness? Bought new units, noticed an improvement over the originals but think the output could be much better. Am also waiting to get my new fogs/driving lights installed to light up the night.

Sliders from FabZone, mostly he communicates via Instagram. It’s the only time I ever use that app, kind of ironic. Ten years ago I thought it was less toxic than FB but that soon faded to “what a waste of time”. Of course this forum may not necessarily qualify as the best possible use of time given how much effort I’m putting into a 20 year old truck:)

Found the right struts on eBay, windoors are awesome now, waiting on the rear door struts. Matching part numbers to the OG Suspa seemed to be the easiest way.

T handles are the opposite, bought a set of Bauer and swapped the rear, way better there, but on the windoors I need 2” and what I have are 1.5”. Waiting to hear back from that seller, they offer 2” ala carte but not as a package and I’d like all the keys to match.

Haven’t gotten to fog lights (SSC2’s in boxes) yet. That is on the list though.

I did new housings, bulbs and harness altogether. Replacing one depo and one Oem which were both fully trashed. The difference was significant but it’s hard to know how much of that is harness and alternator vs bulb. I’m still on $6 Tungsram nite breaker stock wattage H4’s. I’ll order up some osram at some point but trying to not mess with stuff that is mostly working because so much other stuff has better ROI.

I'm not wanting to make this a huge project. OEM+ is my goal. The + being sliders / steps, slight upgrade in audio and perhaps some OEM wheels to go along with improved lighting.
Glad you found the correct components to keep the project going. Will send FabZone a message to discuss options. Thanks for the info!

Sliders welded on yesterday at Fabzone. Jason also got the front coil overs and end links done a week or two ago. Rear leaf pack is next in line then wheels and tires and to the alignment shop we go. It’s starting to reach a semi respectable state of rehabilitation.

Perhaps a testament to my personal issues, the one thing I’d like done most right now, which is absolutely non essential, would be the blackout badges. I have them ready to go and even swung by the shop who did the shell paint yesterday on my way home but they were too busy and understaffed to get to it. I could attempt it myself too but they have buffer wheels and also I want to get a little bit of touch up on the bigger scratches. So maybe after alignment.
