SEE POST #9 for final project. Been waiting for lumber to come down and lower temps. I’m almost finished but I got most of it done today. 12 x 12 dock Floating on 6 plastic drums and hinged to a 4 x 12 ramp. Now I can feed my catfish and catch them a little easier.

How do you hinge it to the dock? I’ve always seen it done and just curious if it’s just normal hinges or some kind of other setup

They are special heavy duty hinges. I had to order them on line from a dock company

Nice job. I helped build a new one for my dad on father's day. 10x16. We jetted 16ft poles into the mud, but we probably should've done a floating dock like that.

I bought him the wood for father's day last year.

My ass is tired. Two full days working but I’m finally done. Even had a little leftovers to build a boat launch. Skids have small rubber casters so I can unhook the winch and the boat just rolls down to the water. At my age it’s all about convenience.
