So Fred was actually.......Heather? Maybe (s)he created Fred as an alias as to not attract unwanted attention from a male dominated forum....

That's essentially how I found his reviews. I wasn't looking for them. Over the years when he would recommend something(typically repeatedly), I would add it to my wish list. Then he would repeat his praise here for said item over and over, and it wasn't hard for me to figure out his review on Amazon. It's basically a copy/paste from what he would write here.

The first time he mentioned those seat covers I thought he was joking. With his sense of humor it was sometimes hard to tell and those seat covers were so incredibly ugly I didn't think he was serious.

Took the truck for a drive since it’s been sitting in the garage. I cleaned it up as much as I could and am still waiting on an estimate from AllState so I can take it in to get fixed. Just my luck, started to rain on me while I was out running around on the spare lol.
The worst part is that I finally had to order a new phone since auto insurance doesn’t cover that sort of thing and it’s just cheap enough to be under my $1000 homeowners deductible

Yeah, talk about a crappy way to end a dirt bike session. It happened to another car in the upper parking lot and the officer told me there were 3 others on the other side of town that had the same thing happen an hour before.
I’m guessing more to be a dick but I’d follow them on the dirt bike if I caught em. They did get a $500 Fred Meyer gift card with my credit card before it was flagged so I’ll have to dispute that.

Yep, guess they needed my phone more than I did. It’s just too bad they took off before I could give them my pin to unlock it and turn off the iCloud activation lock

I’ll got out and take a pic of my prolock, not sure if I still have the pop out lock, but it looks like the head of the screw broke off, I think that’s just a Phillips with a washer holding that usually

I think it looks like this below, the steam/bolt has a crease to lock in a snap ring of some sort

By golly I think you’re right. There’s just one thing missing that would’ve removed all lingering doubt…. one single ‘mojo’
Actually, many times he did mention a Mrs. PHM from his bathroom remodel, to helping with his headers install.
…..or collecting breadcrumbs. I’m sure he misses the hell outta being here. Wait… I don’t suppose anybody has searched for any new members here named heather eh? Haha cheers to PHM!

Looks like I need to replace with this look. Did you replace yourself, was it an easy swap?

They sell the pop out or prolocks still, I did have some modifications to do, clearing the drip edge for the inner latch release and then drilling for a return spring mount

Something to look into, not sure if all cards offer it but my AMEX cards offer purchase protection for 90 days and cell insurance after that for a $100 deductible.

What you'll need to replace it is called a Starlock washer. You push it on and tension on the splines won't let it slide back off.

I bought this kit for just that purpose. These are used a lot in vintage Technics-made turntables. Highly recommend having this clear box in your shop.
