I am posting this out of desperation in the hopes that someone can help me find a Master Technician or ' Wire Wizard' within 300 miles of Lake Havasu City to have our 2007 Toyota Tundra computer looked at and fixed or replaced.

We have a show truck (engine not modified) - cosmetic modifications only - that has 3000 miles on it and is driven less than 100 miles a year. We started it last week and various sensors came on. After reviewing all of the forums, we see that this is a pretty common problem on this generation of Tundra.

I know we will need to have the truck towed to someone who knows what they are doing and has some experience in this area, but don't know how to find this person. Anyone out there know of a person who can either fix or replace this computer/sensors without ongoing $$$ drain? I have contacted Toyota - no help whatsoever.... they don't even know which dealership (s) have master technicians. Private but talented wizard would be great too.

We can take the truck to SoCal/Orange County or Phoenix Metro.... would really appreciate any referrals here.

    Thank you,
    Leslie

Toyota corp is not going to have your answers. Have you contacted any local toyota dealerships? That is where I would start. They can at least help and read/identify the codes being thrown. You need to know what codes are active as a starting point.

Great year Tundra for sure. I hope you get the needed help.

Does it have the 5.7 or 4.6 Engine? Or possibly V6. You may or may not be aware that the 4.6 has a timing belt that could be an issue - from age not mileage.

5.7 and 4.6 are chain engines

4.7 engine is a carryover from the first gens until it was phased out

    4.7 have timing belts

What do you mean? Sensors are electrical devices that report data to the vehicle's computer. Normally you would be unaware of whether they are on or off. Do you mean that you have lights on the dash lighting up that aren't normally? If so which ones? Are they flashing?

Depending on what's going on, you could have something as simple as a bad battery. You haven't given any information to know what the problem even is.

Depending on what's going on, you may simply be able to buy this:
    https://www.amazon.com/Autel-AutoLi...d=1628197794&sr=8-4-spons&smid=A3MNQOSQ336D3K
Plug it into the OBD port on your truck, turn the key to the second position, then read the codes and let us know what they are.

Again though, you could have something very, very, very minor going on.

I'm going to go out a limb here, buy you might want to start researching AIP by-pass kits.

Thank you for providing that information, that's much more specific, especially that you already tried cleaning the MAF sensor.

It's a reasonably expensive part to just guess at a replacement, but at the same time Toyota used this sensor on a ton of vehicles, and if you buy a pull from a yard it's a $20 gamble instead of a $100 gamble. Here's an example of one source: https://www.ebay.com/itm/273687406913?epid=654640046&LH_ItemCondition=3000

It's conceivable that a clogged air filter could set this off too, though that seems very unlikely.
