Before I got my tundra, I had a built up older land cruiser with a swing out rear bumper and spare tire carrier. Perfect to hold the trasharoo. I've used it a couple times strapped to my Tundra. It left a few scuffs on the tail gate that came out with some polishing compound, but there was a couple scratches that I touched up.

I was texting with Edward Shin (Kroken Outdoors). He used blank car magnets, 12" x 24". Placed them on the tailgate under the trasharoo, to protect it. I just ordered them off Amazon, $27.

Wondering if others have used these or have another solution for protecting the tail gate with a trasharoo???

I don't use a trasharoo specifically, because I don't want to pay money for a trash bag but I digress. I did use a similar setup. I have an old army jumbo duffel and I use that to store my trashbags. I used disc magnets with a rubber base from Amazon to hold the back pack straps to the inside of my tailgate and clear 3m paint protection film on the outside of my tailgate to prevent it from rubbing the paint. Hope this helps

Edit I do this to the inside and let it flop over the top and close my topper hatch over that. Sorry for the typos. My phone is auto correcting words I don't want haha

Nice, I actually thought about strapping my old Marine Corps seabag to the tail gate, like a trasharoo. Options....

Yea I mean when I look at the trasharoo that's really all it is anyway, and I already have the gi duffel (s) so might as well put them to use lol
