I've been thinking an FJ40 or even an FJ cruiser in LR would be sweet...

My MPG has been bad because I mainly do city driving but didn't notice a difference with the 295s. I can get 14-16 when I drive on the hwy with cruise control set around 65 ( which actual speed should be close to 70). My tires stick out a couple inches so I'm sure that doesn't help.

Hi rev, it's decent, but I feel bit too aftermarket, so I guess I'll wait for something new or get a custom set made.

Looks good!! Where did you buy them? Also how did you wire them? Which fuse are they on when your lights are on? Thanks.

    Got them off Amazon:
iJDMTOY 3pc Amber LED Center Grille Running Light Kit Compatible With 2014-up Toyota Tundra w/TRD Pro Grill (Dark Smoke Lens w/Wiring and Hardware) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MFZSNZ7?_encoding=UTF8

I just directly tapped into the drivers headlight harnesses DRL (violet) and ground (white & black) wires for now. Eventually I’ll go back to re do the wiring and use the add a fuse.

Last NP this trip. The park ranger said, although I was MORE than capable and properly equipped…I had to leave her in the parking lot.

Nice! Anyone know why the CAN versions get parking sensors when the US versions don’t? I haven’t been able to find an answer to this…

It may have to do with specific vehicle safety laws in Canada vs US and the way that Toyota bundles their harnesses and hardware. Specifically, the body wiring harness from the engine bay to the rear of the truck has only a couple of configurations, and the one that includes wiring for the parking sensors also has the wiring for the BSM (which I would guess is what might be required in CAN-spec new vehicles). Same goes for the wiring harness in the rear bumper. And the way the CANBUS system works, if the plugs are there with nothing on them talking to the main computer, it gets cranky.... so, if they install the wiring harnesses to the back of the truck to activate BSM/RCTA, then they have to also put in the parking sensors in the back, which would then require the parking sensors in the front for the system to work. Of course, that's just my guess.

As to why they don't offer it on the US trucks, even as an option, well - who knows. Why did they start putting Auto Climate Control in certain packages of SR5 trucks in 2020 without ever actually updating any spec sheets to indicate it. Or why did they only start basing the TRD Pro off of the Limited package in 2019...

On the flip side, a lot of the CAN-spec trucks in lower trims also get seat heaters, but they don't get them integrated into the climate controls and instead get a lame button (looks to be "port installed") that doesn't offer the full functionality of the US-spec ones.

    :notsure:

Interesting. Do the lower SR/SR5 CAN models have the parking sensors also?

where are the CAN Tundras manufactured? Is it in San Antonio or a separate location?

Sport premium and off road premium has them I think, Toyota Canada does a very poor job on marketing, I actually had very little knowledge of what came with the truck, I didn't know its automatic climate control and powered passenger seat until I took delivery, I thought it was gonna be like the 2019 I drove which had manual climate control.

I added factory BSM/RCTA to mine - details are in my build thread.
I’ve never had parking sensors, and between the rear camera and adding a front camera, didn’t see the point in doing it. It would have required a bunch more custom harness making (or buying ridiculously overpriced factory ones), drilling holes in my bumpers, and buying the missing ECU and all the sensors. Just wasn’t worth it to me.

If you’re looking for tail lights, I’d highly recommend these! True plug and play and fits perfectly as if it should’ve came straight from the factory. Plus that smoke lens looks great with our Lunar Rock color. Next is to smoke that 3rd brake light.
