Also a brand new member, but mine's a 2006 4X4 with similar specs as https://www.tundras.com/threads/new-member.93008/#post-2346058 and I'm about 1.5 hours west of him in Gibsonville, NC.

Bought it earlier this year from a neighbor who bought it new but never really used it as a truck. He added a Tonneau cover, which I may replace with a cap if I can find a deal. Have an aging '90 F-150 with only 52K miles most of which were to/on/from Hatteras Island and back and forth to the home improvement store and to move my kids to/from NCSU, otherwise parked in the garage. I love the old Ford, but with no A/C my wife won't ride with me so she's now in the driveway (soon to be taken by my son) and the Tundra's in the garage, awaiting her own drum fishing trips to the Outer Banks.

Pondering my options for mounting a surf rod rack for my next OBX trip in October. Looks like I could mount to the frame where the tow hooks are bolted.

"She" being the old F-150 that's in the driveway, not my wife.

I will say that the driving and riding experience of the Tundra is night and day better than the 26-year older Ford. My wife and dog sure love riding in quiet climate-controlled comfort in the back seat much more than on the front bench with me and God's A/C.
