He is...I'm just not sure of his wingman skills yet. @COMiamiFan might be so far out of the game he's gonna hook me up with the token ugly girl in the group

Mine transforms into a semi stick shift. You just don't get that feeling with a column shifter. Unless you are reminiscing about a car you had back in the days of a 3 on the tree.

Gonna hook you up with the girl that makes the sopapillas. Want to make sure it's a good woman that will feed ya. And yes, I'm way removed from the game; but old enough to know how to improvise ;)

My 08 SR5 showed up with bucket seats. Which Tundras are getting split-bench seats?

Base models are bench seat. You have to get one of the sr5 upgrade pkgs to get buckets. Almaboys truck is a rare bird trd with bench. Not many that have the trd package without a bunch of other stuff to.

I thought that the dc 8 ft bed was only available in the grade trim
But my local mechanic has one with buckets. I didn't ask him about that.

Wait, doesn't the 38 gallon only come with the upgrade package? Mark, do you have 26 or 38 tank?

38 gal tank does only come with an upgrade pkg. I think it is part of the trd package. When I was looking I remember coming to the conclusion that I would have to get an sr5, yes in order to get both the bucket seats and the larger tank. I hope Mark got the 38 gallon tank. Otherwise all he's got left of the trd is the stickers, like mine!

Been thinking about building something there also. A locking or hidden spot for my gun and something to hold my VHF radio and some switches. Not sure I would add speakers cause I would like some way to remove it if I needed to use the seat. My wife is small enough to use it without it being crazy uncomfortable.

I also have the DC TRD SR5 package but it didn't come with buckets or a 38 gallon. That's why it was only 32K. Sticker was 42 but with my 2016 Tacoma trade, the last day of the month, and the "special" they had running in January to flush out last year's trucks i got a steal. It was actually less than the 4.6 SR5 without TRD. I ended up in this truck for the same monthly payments and without extending the loan as the Taco...that's why i can live without bucket seats and it gives me another mod in the DIY console i am running to Lowe's right now to work on. Can't promise anything soon because of the amount of snow and cold temps but it will happen.

maybe if i come up with some plans i'll post it and you can copy. I'm thinking a locking box with a tray on top that can store my pocket junk, phone, and other miscellaneous items. It I do what i envision i'll have a switch panel on the driver side but that'll come later after i address other mods the truck has in store.

If you come up with something before i do please let me know

I don't even have the stickers anymore. Those are long gone;)

But, i do have the TRD suspension in storage if that counts....

I'd like to fab up (much more likely...have some else do it) a 38 gallon tank to fit in the back where the spare was. I haven't decided where the spare will end up yet. I don't like it in the bed nor on my roof top rhino rack (this is probably where it'll stay) but i also am not going to put it underneath i decided. I ended up with a 295 70 18 spare so i can go a little smaller when i buy tires next. I discovered yesterday i will have traditional snow tires next winter. I don't drive slow in the snow and with the Nokian R2's i can take tight turns at 50 and not flinch. It means a lot to me to have stellar traction in the winter. Summer tires will end up being STT's like my spare.

I just went on a long rant on a console thread...Joon, i just jacked my own thread!!!

Oh, so yours is an sr5. Yeah, you stole that truck! I might have been able to live with the bench for that price to!

LOL, way to go Sean! I tried to change mine, but the mods put me back to nubbie status. Maybe you have to post a certain amount before you move up?

I'm pretty sure I've broken the 1000 mark in a little over a year. But you're a postin MoFo. What, 10,000 in three months? You get the nubbie poster award!
