Is that an oem roof rack? I haven't seen one before, tundra or sequioa, didn't know that was a thing. You got a part number? I love the oem look for roof racks. The prinsu and others are a little too boxy for me, and I don't like how tall they are

The roof rack is off a Sequoia that I got for $100. I shortened it and installed with nutserts. It turned out really nice.

Please tell us more on how you did the roof rack cut/install. Looks good.

Ok. After researching the factory Sequoia Roof rack, I found that the roof line from the sunroof to just past the CrewMax doors was the same as seen in the attached factory sequoia roof rack (though silver) photo. The roof rack is like any from Toyota and has the removable endcaps to exposed the mounting holes. I did not need the middle attachment/mount since I was shortening the side rails. I cut the side rails down to 35" each with a bandsaw. The rack was black so no need to paint it. I reassembled the rack and placed it on the roof to mark the pilot holes. Like the Sequoia, the placement of the mounting holes was just inside the channel with the rubber gasket. I measured about 4 times to get it right. Once in final position, I drilled the pilot holes and the final holes. Then I painted the holes with touchup and used M6 Nutserts with RTV to prevent leaks. Once finished I pulled back the door gaskets, pulled down the headliner to remove the drill shavings. This was a pretty easy install and took about 2 hours. I think it turned out really cool for the money since the rack was $100 and I already had the nutserts and install tool.

No damage or any issues as the side curtain airbags attach on the outside of the roof channel.

Ever since I put the stoptech rotors and pads on my truck it’s been shaking like crazy. After chasing my tail a bit on it I finally decided I must have got wrapped rotors from the jump. Pulled the trigger on hawk rotors and pads last week and got them on today. SHAKING IS GONE!!!!

I had the same problem with stoptech. I went back to OEM and broke them in heavy and no shake also. It feels good to ditch the warp!

Lemmy know how it works out!

I got the following and it is not much better than without an antenna entirely. I am disappointed.

My brake story. Replaced front calipers, rotors and pads appropriately 2 years ago. Bled the brakes and they felt squishy. Took it to les schwab and they bled them but said there was no air in the lines and pedal has felt squishy since. Today I replaced all 6 brake lines with stoptech stainless steel braided brake lines. I bled the brakes with the one man brake bleeder once. Drove and engaged the abs on a gravel road and it didn’t take hardly any effort. Came home bled again. Next trip abs didn’t engage as easily at all. Came home and bled a third time. RP LP RP LD sequence every time. Drove again and I can say that they definitely feel better than before. After I drive it normally I’ll be able to tell more how much of a difference it has made but overall I’m a little bit happier lol.

    Oh yeah.

Received and installed my new bakflip mx4 (in damn near 100* weather)

    20210727_181834.jpg

Straight forward install including the brackets to drop down and retain the factory tiedown system.

    20210727_182009.jpg

Loving the low profile look. And the weather/prying-eye resistance will definitely be a welcome comfort. Transporting tools to the job and being able to have them in the bed while shopping will be nice for sure.

I have this too. Works fine for me, but I don't use the radio very often. Most Bluetooth Spotify and audiobooks.

New floor mats to match my new black carpet that I installed last week. These mats are SO much better than the poorly-fitting WeatherTech mats I had before. I installed the floor hooks after I took the pics.

I can't find the receipt but they seem to have BD as a brand. If anyone cares I can dig the box out of the trash.
