I just recently bought a 02 stock Tundra SR5 V8 extended cab. It came with 265/65/R17 wheels and tires. I just bought some used 265/70/R17 AT tires and put them on. I feel they are really close to the front axle arm, almost touching. After seeing this I put one of the old tires back on for reference and the spacing is almost the same. Are these new tires to big? Is this something I should worry about? Is there an easy fix? I drove with the new tires around the block and don't think there was rubbing. Attached is a photo of front axle with new tire. Thanks!

There's nothing to worry about. I have the same spacing and it's never rubbed.

Doesn't seem like they should be to big. Stock on the 1st gen is 265/65/16. If they are not rubbing you should be good to go. I put 275/70/17 on my 1st gen on 14 Tacoma wheels. I had to put wheel spacers on to clear the ucas.
