    Hey guys,

new member to the website. Located in the Pacifca, Ca just south of San Francisco. Loved Toyota’s since my first 98’ Corola. My dad was a Chevy mechanic and it always drove him crazy.

I just had my first kid and needed to move on from my 1st gen Tacoma - 2003 AC V6 4WD 81,000 miles. Loved that truck and basically left it stock with the low mileage.
I just bought a 2005 Tundra DC 4wd 150,000 miles Truck is straight but old and sagging. I’m on city streets the majority of my driving but do a bit of camping and get to the occasional dirt road.
So my objective is to do a small lift on the truck, thinking 2” front and 1” rear. I’ve got some money to spend but I’d love to stay as budget friendly as possible. I’m currently thinking about a coilover strut for ease of installation
    - Bilsteins 5100s
    - springs to replace the old tires ones

And trying to think of what else I should replace while I’m down there
    - control arms??
    - steering?
    - other parts to consider replacing while I’m under there so I don’t need to tear it apart again?

For the rear, i’m leaning towards a new leaf pack. I understand the AAL is popular but, I’d like to shell out the money once and hopefully not make any more modifications until the little boy learns how to turn a wrench. Also, same as in the front, what else would you replace in the rear while you are screwing around back there?

Hoping to keep the build around 3k. So after major parts like struts
And leafs if anyone has a short list of easy ‘must do’s’ that would be great.
I understand all of this information is already in the many threads. I will continue to work my way through them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.
