Moved to NH a year ago or so! I’m 20 minutes from Mount Sunapee, mellow place! I’ve been lucky enough to go out west for a boys trip for most of the last 20 years, but this year it’s NH only! Cannon tomorrow! Picture was taken at Mt Sunapee and namesake lake! Skier, name mentions it, old = 67!BE05F598-4610-4107-A477-AA2B8EFBC2DB.jpg

Pretty view but there's an awful lot of green down in that valley. Is that snow heavy and slushy? I know I've been spoiled going out west every year.

We're done for the season. Thought we were wasting money on the Ikon pass with COVID, but it was a nice escape. Twelve days at Copper, one at Winter Park, one at Mary Jane, and one at A-Basin. Went to A-Basin last week and that was awesome.

Anyone have any trips in on the season?
Was able to get a day in last Saturday at Palisades. Snow wasn't great but still pretty cool to say I went snowboarding in October.

Not yet. Personally, I'm still clinging to fall until the goods start falling. But good on ya!

Eh, based on the snow - I probably should've clung to fall until more goods fell. From everything I've seen, they're planned on opening up again this weekend, not sure how that'll turn out based off the snow I saw last weekend plus the lack of snow and 50+ degree temps since then

Just starting to get some accumulation up high here…it’ll be end of the month before anything opens and it’ll be dicey conditions when it does

Haha. Ya I imagine things will be hard and bony.
I'm on a board and the last thing I want is to loose a knee when my tip dives under a down tree. Our mountain won't open until Thanksgiving, but the backcountry is close to being ready. We got snow in the forecast this weekend.

Ready to get back into it!

Last couple of ski years have been non-existent thanks to Covid and the new baby. Hoping to get some turns in this season.

Northern Vermont local. Smuggler's Notch is my "home" hill with random treks to Jay Peak, Sugarbush and Mad River Glen.

I realize this is a bit old, but while I was in Harper's Ferry, I wandered over to Whitetail Mountain in PA. Did a good bit of night skiing there as well. Good little place to go.

Also @Monsterb one time we were the last lift up on the Stowe side going back to Smugglers when one of the kids we were with decided he was too tired to keep going to the Smugglers side (decided this when we were in the middle of the frozen pond). My dad had to pick him up and carry him to the next lift. Dad said it was one of the few times he had ever been that nervous and was almost convinced the liftie would leave us because we were so delayed getting across. Not sure if that crossing is still open but don’t think so..
