Trigger 6 Shooter?

anybody here familiar with the Trigger 6 Shooter? I just installed one today and connected my Diode Dynamics LED Pod MAX. I connected the Pod using the #6 connector which 5amps the pod turned on then off now I am getting a purple led on that #6 connector. I then tried the #4 connector which is 10amp pods turned on and stayed on no problem. Any idea what that purple led mean? Thank you.

 

What’s your pods amp draw?

 

I would say 10volts I have not change the cut off voltage since I'm having issue connecting it to my android phone. Any suggestions?
Worst come to worst I'll return the unit and get something simple like the auxbeam switch.

 

I have the 6-shooter and haven't ran into any issues. Contact Diode Dynamics and see how many amps each pod draws, then add the amps together (assuming you're running more than 1) then put it on the appropriate circuit. My guess is that you are drawing too many amps and it keeps shorting out. If you want it on the 5 or 10 amp then you could always add an inline fuse

 

So I just got off the phone with Steve from DD and he stated that the pods each is 3amp total of 6amp so me connecting it to the 5amp will not handle it

I'll leave it on the 10 for now since that's all I have to install.

Purple light is blown fuse going to replace the fuse and see if goes back to normal will let you know

 

Ah, makes sense. That was my guess too

 

Yup replaced the fuse now back to blue led indicator
