I have the same washer. Honda motor is great, but my pump also blew out. There are little plastic valves inside the pump that turned sideways somehow.
I ordered a new one through Amazon - easy replacement.

yes I’m aware... but most follow suit in regards to being within .1 or .2 gpm. Only a few post numbers much lower. Sun joe seems to have more of the inconsistency. Makes me wonder if Matt’s obsessed garage is testing just one unit, or multiple to check build quality. I’d assume just one.
Going to head over to detail garage here in Colton, CA and see what smarts I can find over there. Life is crazy with two kids under 5, so I definitely need every trick to keep up with maintenance and cleaning on three cars.

If Detail Garage only sells Chemical Guys stuff.......I'm doubtful you'll find any 'smarts'.....just 50 variations of the same product that all do the same thing.....soaps that are supposedly for darker color cars, and the worst line of polishes (the 'V' line) that is on the market......best of luck

I don't see them on his site. Was looking at the upgrade for my K1700. I do like that AR Blue though with all the goods. The wife is happy that I'm going a little over on the cleaning stuff. She gets a clean car.

I built one in 5 minutes max for $180 and is commercial quality

    Harbor freight 5.5 engine
    The pump in the link
I mounted it on a power washer frame I had

Pump screws on the side of the motor with 4 screws. Instant power washer. I use it for everything....house cleaning ETC

My research shows better quality machines all have a horizontal shaft. The cheap big box stores have a vertical shaft

Well I've tried the sun Joe spx3000 and the Ryobi 1420022 electric 2000psi now. I think The son Joe was a better buy considering I got it for half as much and it came with a foam cannon. I tried the Ryobi on my deck and the pressure was not consistent across the fan spray pattern so it would clean on the outer edges and leave a line but not in the center if you got close enough. That was kind of a test as I plan to restain my deck and will probably end up sanding it anyway. I really want another electric because they are so much quieter but I'm leaning toward getting a gas one. I never thought this would be such a pain in the butt.

This won't help OP since he's going a different direction but I have the Green Works 2000 and it's still going great after at least 7 years. I don't use it to wash the vehicles tho, just to clean the patio and sidewalks, drives, etc.

I see some good suggestions in this thread. I think I will go for Kärcher K1700. I like how it looks, and it is powerful enough.
Also, this manufacturer is reliable to my mind because any time I buy something from them, it lasts long and does a great job. I even saw professionals from https://sparklewash.com/northcentralwv/ using, and I think that they know what is good and what’s not. I don’t need something too complicated, and this one looks simple enough to use on a daily basis. Sometimes the road is so dusty that I have to clean the truck every day; otherwise, the dust and sand will just pile up in all the holes.
