Hey not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm needing some guidance. In my 19 Tundra crew max Im wondering if i could take out the Drivers rear seat and replace it with a bucket seat so I can have two bucket seats in the back, Then put a box with 2 12 in subs in the center of the two rear seats. Has anyone done this? Was wondering if i could possibly find another front passenger seat and replace the drivers rear seat with it.

    Could you do it?
Sure, with a ton of custom modification..
The front and rear seat mounts have nothing in common..

Trade that Tundra in for a Sequoia..
Plenty of room for 2 12s..

    Welcome to the forum..:D

Yeah I figured as much. Was hoping there would be a simpler solution I wasn’t seeing. The new sequoias are pretty nice though ngl lol

Pull the 60 seat out and purchase another 40 and mounting hardware identical to the rear passenger side seat. May take some fab work but it should be possible. Should have about a little over a foot between them. Could also fab the top of the box into a center console of sorts.

Also, for what it's worth.. they make dual 12 sub boxes that fit behind the rear seat, shallow mount subs.. but the 12 inch JL TW3s hit hard

I been having trouble finding a box that will fit 2 12’s behind the seat. Could you give me some names? The only ones I can really find are taco tunes and fox acoustics

Throw 2 12 inch JJ Audio TW3s and a 1000 watt amp and that thing will slam. May add some polyfill as well

I purchased my 2 12" box from Amazon. The only thing you have to do is elevate it about an inch so the seat will lower correctly. I put dual Infinity shallow 12" subs in. Much better even with stock JBL system.

Chopped and dumped dual exhaust; 6" fully adjustable ProComp lift w/ FabTech rear shocks, 12.5x20 Pro Comp rims on 37x12.50x20 tread wright mud tires, pedal commander throttle programmer and sound system from hell which consist of Sony double din headunit, 4 Morel Maximo Ultra 603 component door speakers w/ 4 tweeters ran on a Rockford fosgate P500-4 punch amp under drivers seat then the bass comes from a custom 15” 4000rms sub made from a Skar 15” Skar basket and motor with sundown x series components made by Patrick @ Robot Underground in Mesa AZ which is powered by 2 C.A.B. Audio 2000.1D amps strapped together at .08ohm which produces just under 5000rms. Also installed 100sq.ft. 10mil dynamat sound deadening on all 4doors (both exterior and interior chambers) double layer on roof and back wall as well as inside side mirror covers and behind side mirrors
I’ve done it on a Chevy Silverado. Used two captains seats out of a Chevy conversion van. You should be able to use the rear single seat out of a double cab. Might have to fabricate your own mounting brackets but it’s definitely do able

Definitely do this. James is the man and can make you a behind the seat box that maximizes available airspace as well as recommend what subs work best for that box.

That's what I'll probably end up going with in the future in one of James's ported under-seat boxes for the double cab. But right now I've got 2 12" Polks in a sealed box a buddy gave me and just having fun trying to kill them with a RF Prime 750 (birth sheet says 955 at 1% THD).

When you're old and married, subs aren't really an option. Every time you turn up the music, wife will tell you it's too loud and as you to turn it down.
