Ok, I've searched and searched and can't get a definitive answer! I've look on tundra talk, tundra solutions, GOOGLE, so now here.

I have 20" +10 offset wheels. I have a ready lift 2.5" front kit. Can I fit 305/55/20 with out cutting the body mount??

    Welcome!

I would order some at DT to test fit them. Worse comes to worse- have a backup pair of tires you would like to go with if the original tires you wanted don't fit.

I guess I could always order tires, and hack accordingly. I really want tomatoes all of that so when/if I sell my truck I don't get the "why did you hack this bastard up?! I'm not paying you that much for a hack job!"

Lol that won't happen. If they like larger tires, they'll understand. Just try to keep it as clean as possible.

this isn't an amazing answer but, I have a 3/1 lift on +18 offset on 305/55/20 and its dang close. I would be afraid to try that combo myself because now your 1/3 inch close to the wheel well and mount than I am and I miiiight have exactly that amount of space. I'm a half inch taller too so it gives me a smidge more clearance. like sean226 said, you can use discount tire, I have used them for probably 4 sets, between my family maybe 10 and I love the company. if they don't work have them order something else.

aren't trailer grapplers actually a little taller than advertised though?

I feel so dumb when it comes to this.. Is it more the height of the tire or the width that I am going to be battling with?

Both height and width will affect the rubbing issue. You are pushing the envelop with this set-up (offset, amount of lift, and tire size). Definite answer is not forthcoming since you are at the edge of what is feasible and there is a certain amount of variation from truck to truck.

My guess is that it will rub the body mount. I have 295/70/18 on 18 mm offset wheels with 3 & 1/2 inch OME lift. My tires at full lock is only a few mm away from the body mount. Granted that Trail Grappler is taller and wider than the standard size, and granted that 305/55/20 is about 1 inch shorter than my tires (only 1/2 of this will affect the rubbing geometry), even then I think 8 mm offset difference (so your wheels are 8 mm closer to the body mount than mine) and the difference in lift height (1 inch) will make the tires rub.

But then again, if you have tire place where you could test-fit, you may be pleasantly surprised (or not).

I should just go down there, but I'm the type of person that wants to walk in and say "give me 305/55/20 duratracs!" Sir they aren't going to fit! "oh they'll fit." Lol! I have seen pictures floating around here of tundras w/3" leveled 20" +10 offset and they still have mud flaps in their pic. If 1/2" lift makes that much of a difference I will just go 3/1, but I'm guessing that it doesn't make a huge difference

ok so is my math correct on this one.
stock wheels/tires 18" +60mm offset 275/65/18 so... tires are 10.83 wide/ 32.08 tall. offset is 2.36" so.. a 305/55/20 would be 12.01" wide, 33.21" tall. The wheels I have are +10 offset, so I would be moving 50mm (1.96"). so the difference in tire size would be +1.18" wider, 1.13" taller, and the offset difference would be .4" OUT.

according to willtheyfit.com I will be 37.3mm further away from suspension, and will poke out 62.7" more.

Oh my god... Im just going to buy some damn tires. if they fit, great! If not... I'll start hacking away. Ive spent more time worrying about this than doing actual work today..

Hahah:annoyed: I know how that feels man. I researched for months Bc I wanted mine to fit and look good but for me hacking wasn't an option at this stage. I love mine but I like the look of bigger tires. Next time I'm getting 35/12.5/20 or 295/60/20 and going to just trim whatever. But I about went insane trying to figure it out.

So, I pulled the trigger and put on some 305/55/20 Goodyear duratracs. I pushed my fender liner forward, trimmed my skid plate, and trimmed the bulge in the mud flap. I have zero rubbing!! I noticed my body mount sits flush with the wheel well liner so I didn't chop it in hopes that I wouldn't have to chop it. I have about 1" clearance now.

Looks great. I am glad that it worked out for you. It sounds like you have more room than I do with 18 mm offset wheels with 295/70/18. I am a few mm away from the body mount at full lock. It's amazing how different each truck is compared to the next one.

And you be the judge, but my tires seem to poke out more than yours.

My trail grapplers are 275/70/R18's but have OD 34" indicated on the tire. They are probably 34" unmounted. They are about 33.5" max when mounted depending on air pressure. At least mine are.

I measured my "poke" and it's 2.5" from the bulge of the tire.

Thanks for your post. I am at the same place... or even worse! I bought my truck with these wheels already on and I have NO idea what the offset is. I'm looking to shove some Cooper SST Pro's (305/55/20) under there. Would love to fit a 315/50/20 General Grabber.
