Picked up the Slurp from my local shop. Had a new water pump and thermostat installed (and an oil change). Not leaking or anything wrong, just some preventative maintenance given that they had 143,000 on the clock and this will be a dedicated road trip rig.

Then I threw in my RAM phone mount, stubby antennae and a Garmin Mini Dashcam. Nothing big, but nice to have it done. Sometimes it’s the little things!
It’s also nice that the dash and interior pieces are all removed the same way as my 4th Gen. 4Runner, makes the job go quickly.

Tomorrow I’m off to Bayfield, WI. 4 hour drive to stretch the Slurps legs.

Honda pressure washer, with some straight up dawn in the soap reservoir, I'm old school and use original, none of that fruity shit. But it would prolly work the same.

My father has used DV8 for his last two Jeep’s. I’d be interested in how you knockoff looks and compares!
I’ve been looking for a front bumper with winch mount, but haven’t found anything I like that also has holes for sensors.

I don’t think the one I ordered has sensor holes, but according to another poster on here you can measure and drill a 7/8in hole and mount them

I’ll report back upon arrival and install

I hope you have better luck with those than I did. The low beam lights were blinding to everyone so I took them out.

I installed them in all 5 of my cars and haven’t had any problems. The light output is amazing, especially at night during the rain. Did you try adjusting your headlights? I can adjust my Tundras aim from in the cab. You have to make sure they are properly oriented in the housing. I put in

Interesting feedback I hope so too I figure I’d take advantage of the PowerStop z36 price on Amazon (405) and just buy the lights while I’m at it. Thanks for letting me know about that

Covered the hood with a layer of Dynamat Xtreme and Dynamat Hoodliner. It decreased the interior noise by about 1db at 65 MPH, so not a huge difference, but something. I'll say it generally muffles unpleasant engine sounds, especially under throttle, and only took maybe 30 minutes to install so I'm happy with it.

This is part way through install.

Yesterday: drained and filled diffs, transfer case, transmission and oil/filter change with synthetics.

Today: Installed my Lomax trifold tonneau and weather seal around the tailgate. Also, swapped gas pedal for the replacement that won't snap my neck every time I start off.

I figure doing the fluids myself saved me enough make the tonneau and seal ($1k) sting a little less. Besides, I'm about to be driving alot over the next year and needed a more water resistant option for cargo than an open bed. We'll see how this does.

Do you have the part number for the gas pedal swap? Thinking of driving on backroads/off roads in Cali and I know this pedal is going to be a nightmare on those roads

The pedal made a difference. It doesn't feel as snappy now when I take off from a stop but it still has the 5.7 power and torque, just slightly subdued off the line. I feel better now with my daughter driving it.

    (When I let her...)

that’s perfect because as soon as I let go of the brake pedal and tip toe my gas pedal I see heads banging. The only appropriate time for this is when Metal Health is playing haha

Two 10mm nuts and swap the electrical connection. Squeeze the top and pull up off the pedal. Snap onto the new one, tighten the nuts and you're set.

Tired of my water bottles flopping around. PVC tube is a pinch fit so it is an easy
reversible modification. Just primer black for now. May wrap them carbon fiber or
    another color.
