    Not sure at this point.
Did the front sway bar delete. Thought I didn’t need to pull off the RCI skid, but unbolted the 5 engine mounting bolts and the 3 valence bolts and the sway bar slid right out with ease.. :)

Did you re-use the two rear lock nuts on the back end of your skid plate?

Took a chance and installed these totally integrated LED headlight bulbs today. They work and no error messages so far! Have a 2 year warranty so even if they last that long, it’s $60 well spent.

Don’t do any towing and honestly, after driving for over 20+ miles, there really isn’t any difference.

The FSB doesn’t really have any effect on towing, just on handling. Specifically, maintaining control during hard braking/accident avoidance situations. I was thinking about doing the same and removing mine for a little smoother ride while off road, but I read through this thread and was convinced otherwise.

Locked it up doing 65 after a POS Prius did a u'ey in front of me. ABS worked flawlessly. Usually run with nannies off when not on the interstate- glad I wasn't this time... The roads are more crazy than usual here in San Diego.

Got the ROAM box up today. We're headed to the Badlands and then Custer State Park. ROAM customer service was excellent.

I really like those boxes but can't figure out how I would secure the contents. Is there a spot for a padlock?

Each of the three latches will fit a little lock. My Master lock was too big.

Hello, I am sorry about delayed response. I was very busy these days working from home and taking care of my kids at the same time. Is like never ending workday. Well, same happened to me. I was looking at this units for few months and finally decided to give it a try. What triggers the purchase was a low price I found compared to most of these units in the market. I bought it directly from China and they sent it to my door for a total of 471.00 brand new. Here you can find more details of my unit: https://www.szklyde.com/tesla-vertical-screen/59123551.html. I am editing a detailed video about the install, mods., and configuration but here are some stuffs that I have learned during the process .

I was wondering why the cost of this unit, compared to what is available in Amazon and other local stores. Well to be honest I think the only difference, or the reason we pay more buying it from a local store is probably the support. This unit came without any instructions. It has a very basic PDF that you can access after turning the unit On. If you are those persons that prefer plug and play stuff only, this probably won’t work for you from the beginning. But once you have it set, for sure you will love it. It is designed to be plug and play, but based on my experience and all options it has... for sure you will have to do your research too .

So far and overall I am happy with it because I like to do research, configure, and modify stuff etc. Also, It has a lot of cool stuff compared to what we got from the stock unit. That being said, this is what I had to do to make it work as I wanted.

    • The frame fit almost perfectly but not at all. The upper clips didn’t fit completed due to the geometry of the frame. Maybe was my OCD but I had to modify the frame by cutting it around 1/8” on each back lateral sides under the curved area for a perfect fit.

    • I have the anytime front and backup camera switch and harness installed. Therefore, I found a way to make it compatible with this unit by adding an extra cable to the harness that came with the unit. Fortunately, that was the only thing I had to do and works perfectly.

    • My Tundra has heated/AC on seats. By default, these options were not available in the UI. The whole AC controls were not working. I did my research and found an admin password that allowed me to modify the car type in the configuration menu. Very easy to do and worked perfectly after that.

    • My rear speakers were not working. Initially I tried the fader and balance options from the sound’s settings without success. I found later another menu that modify the truck amp setup. From these options I found a configuration setting that enabled the rear speakers.

    • The quality of the sound is acceptable in my opinion. I had a plan B for that because these unit also has a low output where you can plug any audio amp. But I am happy with it no need to add an amp. to improve the sound.

    • I love the fact that I can add headrest monitors to broadcast what I have on screen. Not tested.

    • Android Auto works as expected. It is also compatible with Apple CarPlay wired or wireless.

    • Connected it to the Internet via Hotspot and worked as expected. I was able to see YouTube videos and navigate the Internet without any issues. Netflix wasn't available in play store. But for sure there is a hack for that. No tested.

    • Touch screen response is great.

    • Power management is adequate. I did a test bench to make sure it doesn’t drain the battery.

    • Didn’t see any option for XM Satellite Radio.

There is also a custom firmware that probably can be installed and additional apps. as well.

Probably I am missing some other stuffs, but if there is something you are interested to see or test, please let me know so that I can include on the video too or add more info here.

So far I can tell you that I like it and for sure I will continue to add/mod more stuff on it.

Where I live those weren't even an option, they would have trapped tons of salt underneath and rusted out the end caps in no time. It is pretty labor intensive to swap out the end caps so if you live where there isn't salt the bumpershellz might be a better idea. Not trying to persuade you against them, just making sure you know.

I just went toe to toe with a dealer and won. You can call corporate. It helps sometimes. The number that I used is 800-331-4331. You might also try the BBB. That seems to get them motivated sometimes also. If there is another dealer close by you might just go to another dealer. I don't go to the dealer that I bought my vehicles from.

Looking forward to the video, just a breakdown of all of its features would be great. Did yours have the option to install a sim card and broadcast wifi throughout the truck?

Thanks, I think that's a good call. I do feel better going going with something close to Toyota 75W over just putting 75W-90 into the TC as it appears the dealerships do. At the moment I'm going towards the Redline MT-LV as it lists the Toyota LF golden child by exact part number in the specs. It also seems in the giant discussion over oil brands, a lot will give credit to redline for their decent gear lubes.

The redline is a good choice also but just to make you aware, Royal Purple synchromax also lists the LF by name as compatible. Either choice will be completely fine since they list LF and both will be way cheaper than the Toyota golden child.

I used the Royal Purple in my 4runner and it was fine. Will use it again on the Tundra when it's ready to change.
