Don't let Junebug fool ya. Those are sliders but act as steps. He's less worried about stepping in but more concerned about tearing up his truck when he's jumping monster mounds

What I like about them is that the steps disappear when not needed... Cleaner look.... They are pricey.... But it's only money and you can't take it with you when you die....So might as well spend it and enjoy it

Kinda what I'm thinking, and with the snow I get I'm sure the freeze up and snowblower will burn out motors when they stop moving

Whatever you choose it can't hurt to make sure the width of the rail or step will also help keep knuckle heads from swinging and dinging your doors in parking lots.

Since I installed painted mirror caps and door handles I am not crazy about the overall look of stainless steel steps but they have saved me a several occasions. I can live with them for now and a plus is they won't rust. They also keep a fair amount of road crap off the side of my truck. Good luck with your search. FWIW.

I think this is one of those options that you have to weigh looks vs practicality. I would never normally use a step (truck isn't lifted) but for my wife and kids, it's a necessity. With that in mind I looked around at the different options. I wanted something that had a full step that would run the length of the door. Essentially, I didn't want to worry about the kids not paying attention or the wife in heels. I could just see them going down. After everything I looked at, the most practical pic for me was the OEM tubes.

Came really close to ordering these...really close....my truck's too high for these to benefit most of my passengers.

Lol glad to contribute to you spending some $. Make sure to post some pics. I haven't seen RB20's on a Tundra yet. Definitely worth it if you don't do any hardcore offroading. If I didn't have a little one and older parents I would have gotten sliders.

I have these without dimples and they saved me quite a bit on trail last week. Thanks @mac11
The only complaint I have is the difficulty of installing on the DC. I made it work but it was tricky

I'm really leaning towards those RB20's down the road. The Demello Off-road sliders, I think it's the Rock Crusher ones, look pretty sweet too.
