    So I lifted my truck 7" with a bds kit but when I turn at full krank I hear a pop what could that be and also anybody what I could do to get better gas mileage I'm running 20x12 on 35's and I'm averaging like 9 or 10

    Hi Harold!

    That pop could be a number of different things. Some of the more common things I have seen is the steering knuckle rubbing on the LCA (lower control arm), the CV axles could be under too much stress, ball joints, tie rods overextending. I would check with the shop who installed the lift and or take it to a second shop for a once over. One thing I've seen on some of the larger BDS lifts is some shops skipping over the outer extended tie rods if it's a clean truck. They don't realize it's an extended tie rod and needs to be installed to maintain proper steering linkage and avoid ware and tear on other components.

    As for your mileage: It's about average for a truck with your size lift. One commonality and perhaps the only fault on our trucks is mileage. And when you lift it you loose even more. Over on TundraTalk there is a handful of guys reporting between 9-11 mpg avg. on 7" lifts with 35's or 37's. Unfortunately the only thing you can do to increase that number is drive like a grandma.

    Bought my truck used it came with a lift 6" im on 35s most mpg im getting is 13 at 65 70 mph

    Do you have a speedometer calibrator?

    With larger area of drag under the truck and heavier tires, you definitely won't be able to get the stock mpg. I lost over 3 mpg with just 3.5 inch lift with 295/70/18 e-rated tires. You have a larger lift and wider wheels and larger tires. If your mpg is a serious concern, you could always go back to stock.

    Lifting a truck kills mileage. The lift makes it push more air, the bigger tires also push more air, weigh more and usually have a much lower rolling resistance.
    There is a reason why stock trucks (especially the domestics) are so low in the front and have a chin spoiler. It's all about the spec sheet on the window.

    With the 7" bds lift I've seen the tie rods hit the coils. That could be the pop you hear.

    7" BDS, ADS front and rear, Total Chaos UCA's, CB tie rods
    I have the same lift with 35r20. My truck was popping loud enough to make pedestrians break necks. Changed my diff fluids and it helped, i was using 4wd a bit. Also my steering rack bushings were blown. There's a thread I created about replacing them. Truck still occasionaly pops at crank.

    That helps i was gonna change the ball joints this weekend and see if that helped also my truck is out of line which might be affecting it

    Yep, BDS lift hits coils at full lock. Even with spacers welded in to the steering stops. I have the 4.5" W/ coil overs. Very disappointing for this to happen. Why won't they admit there is lack of R&D...
