Anyone know where I can get a job sitting in pretty places staring at my truck? Maybe toyota can sneak me on payroll, I even have a real mountain bike ;)

Sh*t hit the fan in my life, so I bought my DC from my boss for 40k, quit my job, loaded up all the toys and hit the road. Just rolled 15k miles, and nowhere to be for a few months. Stoked to have a reliable beast of a truck to take me everywhere I want to go and feel safe doing it. Hopefully my cats don't get chopped off at a trailhead somewhere!

Right now I'm very actively trying to stay far from the fires. They're popping up everywhere in the west; I drove through a very fresh, minutes old one yesterday and a cop sped up behind me with the cherries and berries flashing. Scared the snot out of me.

Sorry to hear about your personal life struggles, but it sure looks like you're making the most of the situation. You got to hang on to the truck, so that's a huge positive. Hang in there and enjoy this time!

I'm biased of course, but I think the DC tundra and 4runner look the best in lunar rock.

As an unbiased LR CM owner, you would be wrong. :D

Life happens far too fast, but a periodic reset can be good for the soul. Enjoy your new adventure wherever it may lead.

Mental health awareness is a poignant topic in my life right now (lost a close friend and coworker), so be sure that whatever sh*t hit your life fan, you are taking care of yourself and your mind. Sounds like you've got the right attitude to weather a life change like this though...
Love your pictures Annie, and :jellydance: that I'm not out saying "fuhk it" and parking my truck on a lake shore right now with a tent and a paddle board.

Okay guys, coming at you with a first world problem... again. :annoyed:

I just got my front windows tinted with Llumar FormulaOne Pinnacle film, 20%. From the outside it looks like a 95% "perfect" match as far as the color and the darkness of the tint between front and back. From the inside on the other hand... :pout: ... it looks horrible. :( The back has a black/gray hue to it, and the front has this horrible greenish hue to it. Do you guys have the same issue with your tints? I always do 35% tint all around on all my cars, but for some reason my installer asked me if I wanted to switch it up and actually match the darkness on the Pro, so I said: "why not, let's do it". Now I'm wondering if the issue I'm having is because I went with a 20% vs 35% film, or if this is a normal thing on the Tundras? ...although my 2010 DC with 35% tint in the front is a 95% perfect match inside and out as far as the hue of the tint. I'm actually debating if I should have it re-done with 35%, but if it's going to be the same thing, just not as dark, then... I don't know anymore. :pout:

Color of the film is definitely a brand thing. I don't think moving up to 35% is going to change anything. What about throwing maybe 50% on the rears to better match the front? The colors should balance better. My installer did 15% on the front and 40% on the rear and it's pretty much dead on match.

I'm pretty sure the front windows have a light greenish tint from the factory, and I think that could be part of the problem. I just didn't expect it to be this bad. :pout:

What film brand did your installer use, @baron?

Xpel XR+. I want to say that one leans blue, but I don't even notice it. Did you ask your installer about what you're seeing?

Yes, he basically told me that is because of the factory "tint". On my MDX the match was perfect. On the TRD Pro the match is less then ideal. :(

Hmm...I had the same tint put on my front windows, but at 35%...that's the legal limit in Mass and I do not have any green hue...just a charcoal grey color from the inside and outside.

I went with XPEL XR+ ceramic 35 on the front sides and 20 on the rear sides and back window. 80 on the windshield. I dont seem to have any color issues either.

Hmm... thats what I have on my 2010, 35%, and it's pretty spot on. I wonder if going down to 20% did the trick... :notsure: :frusty: I should've done the tried and true 35%. :frusty:

Ive worked with OEM audio plus with my last 3 toyotas. They do great work and sounds amazing. Sure you could piece a kit together for less but the plug and play ease of their system is top notch.

Yes, worth every penny in my book, it drives normal, still jump over things and very little sag when loaded up, no air bags to worry about.

It did raised the rear, which was unexpected

So I decided I am going to fill the bedside letters in with red TRD and black Pro, I've seen a lot of people complain about Amazon letters, but doesn't appear Tufskinz has them anymore... suggestions please!!!
