Hello everyone, hope you can help! About a month ago I bought a 2010 Tundra Double Cab 4.6L from a private party. It had only 56,000 miles on it and is in great shape. I've put about one thousand miles on it and suddenly the driver side mirror is vibrating with the wind and bumps I may go over. On inspection, the mirror bracket is tight to the door, but the part that swivels is loose. There seems to be a plastic coverplate? under the mirror. Are there screws in there that can be tightened? Some on the Internet have said to take the mirror off from the door and tighten 3 torx screws or add washers to the screws and then tighten? Has anyone else had this problem and can share how you may have solved it?

    Thank you!

I know you can pop the mirror glass off if you're careful. There are 4 tabs in a square that hold the glass to the motor plate. I'm pretty sure you just full tilt the mirror and use a screwdriver or small pry bar under the glass to pop the glass up to disengage. Once off. You can take a look at what might be the culprit. Just be careful pulling the glass off...I broke mine last time because I didn't know about the tabs.
