Hey folks - recently picked up an '05 Tundra dblcab as a replacement for an '01 F150 screw. Its got 220K on it, but it was a good price, and seriously looks like it rolled off the dealer floor. Got it in Oct, 2016 and I have been very happy with it. Mileage about the same as my old screw, and profile a bit smaller, but oddly its identical to my wife's '06 Sequoia. Loving Toyota right now.

Question - my dealership told me I need to replace the coilovers. (I was going to say "struts", but I read Jason's forum here: https://www.tundras.com/threads/tundras-dont-have-struts.9854/, and I didnt want to be a stupid-fuck noob). I have several folks recommending Monroe OE Spectrum as the replacement. I'd value and appreciate any thoughts or comments on changing out the oem for the OE Spectrum.

    Thanks folks!

Thanks from Texas! Yeah - I'll need to upload some photos. Thanks!

Thanks from Vegas! Just spent Easter there with my wife. Actually, we just took the truck on my first "roadtrip" to Vegas to see how it handles on the road. Even though her Sequoia Ltd and my Tundra Ltd have the same 4.7L engine, my truck as more spunk than hers probably due to the Tundra being lighter. It was a great drive, but need to replace the front coilovers so any suggestions would be appreciated!

Welcome Randy. I don't think I'd opt for Monroe personally. Depending on budget, at the less expensive end I would consider Bilstein. Fox, Icon, King etc. at the most expensive end, and all kinds of stuff in between. It really depends on budget and how you intend to use your truck.
