Chevy's are probably get a little more expensive now anyway since they lost a plant in Venezuela.

If you ever want to see really bad gas mileage....come to my house. I will take for a ride in a late 90's 1 ton 4wd chevy dump truck with a 454. You can actually watch the gas gage go down.:)

Call bullcr**. For example, in a typical year Ford sells 700K F-150 trucks and Toyota sells 100K Tundras. If 3/4 of the F-150s are dead in 10 years they still have more on the road than Toyota even if every Toyota Tundra is still running.
Of course you're seeing more of em on the road!

Full tank on tundra = about 250 miles

Full tank on camaro = about 285 miles

Of course I play hard in the camaro so my big toe stays in the gas tank, and in 3rd gear.

When I bought my truck, all the shits I gave about MPG went out the window. When I added 35" and a lift more shits given went out the window.

Who's getting 18-19? I had a 2014 Silverado and was only getting 15.6mpg, I'm at 14.5mpg with my tundra and gained 4wd. Half ton trucks are not mpg queens you don't buy them for that. Shoot my Tacoma doesn't even see 18-19mpg either, but we have always owned trucks so I have no understanding of what good mpg should be I guess lol.

I get 13.3 MPG driving to and and from work and around 14.6 going to my hunting lease, which is interstate/highway driving. I did the Stock air box mod today at my hunting lease. On the way home I got 16.3 MPG doing 75mph most the way. It make have been a fluke but I'm really hoping it will actually make a difference. I could tell a difference while using cruise control it did not downshift as much to go up hills.

True. I guess no one is. Now if I had to choose I would sacrifice mpg before reliability or capability Everytime / all the time. My response was just why can't you have efficiency also along with the other two? Is that something that is just impossible or is everyone just happy with the way things are?

I'm a fan of the beast mode. So my tundra averages about 13 mpg stock. I don't care about gas mileage. I wanted a truck where I could go overseas and if my wife needed to go anywhere she could just take it. I grew up with trucks my whole entire life and I don't care about gas mileage. What I would recommend is move closer to work. Get a camper and live in your works parking lot.

I'm not driving very far in mine... currents 2.2 mikes from work - plus I have a 2010 CrossTour that I drive on the daily... my Tundra comes out on Fridays and long trips. I am seeing about 13.3 around town and 16.5 on the highway. No box mod just the TRD duals.

Here is how I drive 75 to 80mph and get 34MPG all day long.

Im going to try ripping those paddle shifters out of the Corolla and try putting them in the Tundy.

Here is how I get a sold 14MPG at any speed in ANY weather.

She still gets the same gas milage as she did the day she was new Fall of 1994. Only 210K miles. I wonder if the clear coat is still under warranty? I would drive this truck straight through to Alaska and would never worry about getting there.

Here is how to get 17mpg

12 in the Tundy is awesome considering what I am getting for my gas money.

Im running 50PSI and getting right at 12mpg at 74mph in my 2013 CM 4x4. Running on relatively flat ground here in Texas. My speedo is off by 7MPH with the big tires. The 12mph number is corrected for the speedo error.

Keep the Tundra and buy a Corolla S :curls: What you will save on gas will make your Corolla and part of your truck payment. You will be making money driving both.

I want to put number badges on that Corolla and some sponsor decals on the front fenders. :muscleflexing:

Yes on the locking diffs. Just keeps going up and up in value just sitting there. I thinks its probably worth at 10 right now. All Toyota service, clean/no damage history. I wrote at check for 46K for it back in 94. Ive got a ways to go yet to get all of my money back.
