Got the amp, subwoofer, and front speakers installed today. Started out with the intention of taking pictures along the way and then never did. Had some issues with one of the RCA adapters so I was messing around with that for a couple hours trying to figure out why one side of the truck wasn't getting a signal. I should get the rear speakers done tomorrow. So far it sound significantly better than it did.

Is that a James Taylor kit? Just got my box, subs and amp also. Being that I already have a Pioneer head unit and all component speakers as Rockford primes I'm a little worried I'm gonna pooch the amp and sub install and it's gonna sound like crap. Should be able to run all highs to components right and then lows to sub?

Yeah, I got it from James. What all did you get from him?
I'm just using the stock head unit, a single 10 in jl audio tw3, Helix Front and JBL rear components.
The worst part of the amp install was getting the wire through the firewall, the place you shove it through in the grommet is so tight, it's had to get your hands in there and get enough force to shove it through. Once I got it through I ran the power wire behind the carpet by the pedals and then through the center console and then under the carpet to the stock amp spot. Hooking the amp up was easy, sanded the paint away from one of screw holes that held the stock amp rack on for the ground wire and plugged everything in. James told me what to set the sensitivities and gains at. It sounds great so far. Tomorrow I'll put the rear speakers in. I got tired of messing with it today and decided to stop while I was ahead before I messed something up.

    Just a custom sub box
    2 JL 10's
And a JBL club 5501 AMP
I have a Pioneer touch screen that's pretty beefy and I already replaced all components. I'm sure it's just the tunning after that's gonna take some time to get right

He saved me a bunch of money on my gear and he was great about answering a bunch of questions from someone who really doesn't know what he's doing. Gave me his phone number and told me to call him at any time to get help. People on Tundra Crew over on Facebook swear by him. I asked a question about something I was going to order originally, he told me to email him and things just went from there. Changed my build around a little bit and saved me a lot of money so I am happy.

I've heard the same. I also love when guys like Keith from Dirty Deeds, Roman from Toyota Of Cool Springs, the guys at *********, Coach builder, and a bunch of others that do certain work generally but sort of specialize in Tundras. It eliminates any guesswork on their end.

I'm sure James is a busy guy, but if you can, reach out and see if he would be interested in joining over here.

Yes, I got it all installed. Got busy installing it and forgot about taking pictures. There was nothing to take pictures of after the install since it's all hidden.

James helped me build my Titan about 10 years ago, now I just ordered an entire new system from him for my Tundra. Crazy how time flies, but his service/quality have only gotten better.
