Any tips on how to travel by car with your super hyper cat? I don't want to consider caging her but I just want to be safe. My daughter bought this online https://www.subaruonlineparts.com/sku/soa854s100.html but I'm really worried if this is okay with our cat?

I also want to consider doing DIY Pet divider but I need help. Any thoughts?

Unless you want your upholstery all shredded if the cat freaks, I’d use a carrier.

Could always give the cat beer. It works with kids so why not a cat.

Crate it. Every time. If you have an accident it’s bad for the cat and everyone in the car.

    Hey there
There are a few drugs that can keep your cat sedate. I typically use a high dose of Gabapentin. Acepromazine also works very well, but it can cause a significant drop in blood pressure if too much is used. Both medications need to be prescribed by a veterinarian.
I would recommend using a carrier. A loose cat in a car is dangerous, even if it's sedate. They can be very unpredictable. A carrier can actually help calm a cat because it's a confined space and they feel safe.

I don't have a cat, so not sure how much help I will be. However, this is how my dog travels in the car. It is a pet car seat made by a company called Snoozer. It does come with a tether that hooks onto the seatbelt, but we don't use it for road trips. If you have a harness for your cat (LOL) you could tether her in and let her hang out (assuming she can be calm for a while).
