So, I upgraded my 2021 SR Tundra to intermittent wipers with a genuine Toyota part- 84652-02710. After reconnecting the battery (force of habit to disconnect), the wipers work just as they should. However, the truck now is throwing a bunch of codes. Trailer codes, auto-dimming headlight code, anti-skid. Double checked the plugs, everything proper.
Is this the wrong switch for the 2021? Snapped right in and plugged right in.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! You might get a better response from posting to a relevant forum on this site. This is mainly just an introduction forum.

I cant imagine that this is related at all to the Wiper Switch change.
I think it is just a coincidence from disconnecting the battery which also seems un necessary for the switch change as the Wiper Circuit is not hot when the truck is off?

So have you removed battery power again and waited a few minutes and reconnected all over again since the initial bad reconnect?

I think that sometimes if the reconnect is not quick and solid that the computers in the cars can get wonky while they try to power back up if the power is intermittent while it is happening and I bet that is all this is?

I have also had mine light up like that after reconnecting before but after I crank the ignition a few times it all works itself out, have you tried that or jusy quit when it all lit up,which I also understand.

If not you are sure under warranty still and I would take it to a dealer and let them see what the computer tells them.

Thank you. I suspect it is the battery disconnect issue. I put the OEM wiper switch back in, and same issues. Thank you for your input.

I didn’t disconnect the battery when I installed my intermittent wipers but when I added my drivers side handle I disconnected the battery due to the airbag in the pillar when I reconnected the battery I got a few extra lights I disconnected the battery let it sit for a few reconnected and no problems. I’d try that again before I went back to the dealer.

I had disconnected when I did the headlight switch, as I had to pull the air bag etc. So, it kind of was force of habit. Made an appointment for tomorrow, the service guy said, yea, you disconnect the battery, things sometimes get goofy.
Next time, if I have to disconnect, I will put one of those little 9 volt battery things on it to keep juice to the computer.
