Meh. Sounds like generic modern rock to me.

It does....but look at the release date.

These guys were Canadian grunge/alt, before most bands.

    Highly underrated in my eyes.

I for one can't stand The Guess Who. But it's probably because they are way overplayed here and Burton is a slimy drunk who used to hit on teenage girls when I worked at Eaton's downtown and would see him.

Hate grunge. I'd rather listen to actual punk or stoner rock.

Burton is a great musician, though. I can't stand BTO.

As a kid, I had no idea the CRTC controlled radio stations and mandated Canadian Content. I've heard enough Bryan Adams over the years for 30 people's lifetime of listening.

    Winnipeg Radio Sucks!

There was an interesting story on the radio one time about how they figure out if something is "Canadian" or not. Apparently, they look at the artist, songwriter, producer and maybe one other person and at least 2 of those have to be Canadian. I can't remember specifics of the example given now but Bryan Adams recorded a song that was written by an American and had that song produced by an American so it doesn't count as Can-con. But there was some American band that recorded a song that was written and produced by Canadians so that can be played on the radio and count as Can-con.

It's bullshit like this that forces us to listen to the crappy Streetheart version of Under My Thumb instead of the good Rolling Stones version.

@Cpl_Punishment Heart is one of those bands. They are USA, but lived here for a while because of green cards and husband's or something.

Ohh........Streetheart. Another band played every 3rd song on local radio.

    LOL.

I hate every single one of those.:rofl:

Nickelback is better than any of them. :D

For Canadian bands I do like:

    Three Days Grace
    Alexisonfire
    Theory of a Deadman
    State of Shock
    Hedley

I don't mind the odd song from Finger 11 or Sum 41 as well, since they were big in my high school days. And yes, even the occasional Nickelback song is acceptable.

Agreed there is a time when Nickelback is acceptable:

I've been enjoying the Sum 41 songs that I listened to in junior high lately.

Underclass Hero came out in my grade year, so that album comes up on my playlist now and then.

LOL. Their Dark Horse album was played at more than a few parties the year after high school. This Afternoon, Something In Your Mouth, Burn It To The Ground...kind of the anthems for 19 and 20 year old hooliganism...

Bought a dometic cfx45 from “the gear shop” in calgary. Amazone was cheaper but fuck them.
Anyway, go check these guys out, such a cool shop.
my horrible pic is of a LT DC tundra with a half cage and 37’s that was in the back of the shop. The yard was littered with beautiful toyotas

Holy fack. I’m on shift it’s been such a gong show out here. Haven’t been home in 3 days, been working 16s till I’m houred out and barely making a difference. The compression and genset units at site are literal half degrees off shutdowns all damn day till 4-5pm then I lose em and can’t restart until 9-10pm due to temps. And just getting worse till Wednesday. I’m beeeeaat and cannot wait for a slurpy and a river asap. Ok I’m done whining- it’s badass we have summer haha :anonymous:

Well, I can't figure out why my AC isn't cooling my house so I'm not looking forward to 39 degrees this week with a baby and a dog.
At work, we discovered a few weeks ago that all the refrigerant from the HVAC units in our buildings on site was removed last winter but nobody thought to put in a work order to recharge the systems this spring.
