Perfect! Waiting on the high flow pump to come in for my friend's truck and then back to the dyno we go!

Viktor, earlier in the thread you mentioned potentially writing and selling tunes as a side gig. I'd be interested in picking your brain when you have a minute. I spoke with Keith at DirtyDeeds when I bought my '21. He was helpful with my exhaust specifically, but I'm looking to optimize the drivetrain on my truck as I know these things always come from the factory with a tampon.

Well, we spent 2 days on the dyno with my friend's bone stock TRD supercharged Tundra and have finalized the tune. We achieved a safe 65-75 hp gain on stock fuel pump and injectors with stock redline of 6100 RPM.
If you want to raise the rev limit, an upgraded fuel pump will be required.
If you are interested in a remote tune from me, you would need to purchase the HPTuners MPVI2 interface ($300 USD) and 4 credits from HPTuners ($200 USD).
Install and download the VCM suite from their website and receive the stock HPtuners calibration for your truck.
You would send me the calibration file and I would modify it and send it back to you for you to flash into your ECU.
PM me for pricing of the tune itself.
If you are local to me, you don't have to buy the MPVI2 interface since I will be using my own to flash you truck, so that saves you 300 bucks.
I will be building my website over the month of August with all the info and FAQ on it - www.viktorgtuning.com
The tune will be customizable to your wishes as far as rev limit, throttle sensitivity, fuel that you use, transmission shift points, tire size, differential gear ratio, transmission clutch fluid pressure, torque management, throttle limits, optimized camshaft VVTi angles, etc. etc.
If you have engine modification to your truck, especially any air intake tube modifications, I would recommend you install a wideband AFR gauge before engaging in remote tuning with me.
Please note that I will be supplying you a locked tune, not the tune data itself since that is where the magic lies.
Currently I will only be tuning non-flex fuel supercharged trucks.
By the end of September, I should have an NA tune available as well as a flex fuel supercharged tune coming sometime in the fall.

Just a general question, California is now checking the ECUs of cars during Smog. Is it possible to revert back to original ECU ID with HP Tuners?

You'll have to pull the original tune off anyways to send to Victor, just reflash that same file.

HPTuners does not modify the ECU calibration ID.
I myself as a dealer technician have not way of telling if your ECU has been reflashed with an aftermarket tuner, except by observations such as a higher rev or speed limit then stock etc.

I have not finished the NA tune yet, so have no hard data on it, but I did flow test an NA pump several years ago and I believe it should be able to support an NA tune up to 7000 RPM.

Can the stock bottom end handling going over 6k? Assuming there's fuel to support it.

Thanks man! Thats good to hear.
The DAP tune raised the limiter (cant remember to what), i dont hit it often, but your mention of an upgraded pump had me worried for a sec and then i realized you were talking about a s/c truck.

We spun the stock TRD blown truck to 7K a number of times on the dyno.
I would personally not go over 6500 on the stock internals for long term reliability.

I am in the process of developing one. Currently working with RSG Offroad in Colorado on their flex fuel supercharged 2018 truck. Aiming to be finished around September/October.

I wouldn't mind running a tune by the fastest Tundra around

Would be nice to compare my current OVTune 91*Tune and determine the easier to use but most importantly has the edge for street ability in my full bolt on RCSB.

I'd like to give an update and my support towards Viktor. When he posted his tuning was ready to go, I emailed him about an hour later and that weekend he sent me a questionnaire and started building my tune. I had already bought HPT in preparation for that moment and messed with things, so that helped speed up the process. On August 1st he sent me the first iteration of my tune, which I've been running until today (due to him sending me a revision).

I have about 2000 miles on the Victor tune in the past 2.5 weeks, 1400 of which were this weekend when I drove all around Nevada chasing the 'Vegas to Reno' off-road race. It was a big test for the tune, everything from sitting parked for literally hours with AC at full blast and it being 105 outside to being floored passing people at low elevation (relatively) and hauling ass across dirt and interstates in the wee hours of the morning.

The tune never once skipped a beat! And for reference, my previous tunes I would get pinging in Las Vegas at WOT and before this I was blowing CELs for MAF out of range codes whenever the temperature was over 80 outside. I never blew any codes on the trip, and I never heard any pinging! The truck pulls like a mule everywhere, and is by far the happiest it has ever been since I supercharged it, and I've been through a handful of tunes/alterations.

Victor is very responsive, the tune is a great price (granted you need the upfront cost of HPT though), and out of the box the tune is better than anything I've ever had before. On top of that today he sent me a revision after I sent him some datalogs, and he's helping dial in the smallest of things now--but honestly if the revision 1 tune he gave me was all I ever got it would be the closest thing to perfect the truck has ever experienced and I would probably run it forever! I'd also like to say that Viktor was able to set up my tune so the torque converter locks up nearly instantly, the truck will downshift and even while accelerating it will lock in and it'll hold gears locked up all the way until it shifts. This was very important to me since I've blown a transmission from being a moron and overheating it, and honestly I don't know if that's even possible now since the truck only unlocks to shift so it never builds heat. I don't think this can be overstated, pulling a trailer, climbing mountains, you don't need to do S4 or anything to keep the trans happy, if it's in gear then it's locked and not building heat. Very very happy with the tune, and can't recommend it enough!

Excuse my long post, not sure how many people out there have his tuning right now so figured a first hand account was justified in this thread.

I'm very interested in his supercharged flex tune once it's available. I too already have the hptuners module that came with the tune from Magnuson. I'm just not sure how the whole process works as far as loading the tune and data logging since I've never done that before. I've installed Bully Dog tunes on past trucks, but that's about it.

    Nice thorough review.

Just FYI, you'll need the HP tuners MPVI2 rather than the RTD device that comes with the Magnuson to load the hpt file Viktor will supply you and data log with it. I have the RTD too, but will purchasing the MPVI2 before I order my tune with Viktor.

Mine came with the MPVI2 from Magnuson. I believe they switched to that somewhat recently. My Magnuson was purchased and installed in February 2020.

You lucky dog! That's awesome. I can't say the same for my situation, but what's another $300 when you're already $8k into it lol. Besides, the tune is where the magic happens :bananadance:

This is clearly a No Bullshit review!
I love reading experiences like this that show true colors. I've been reading Viktor's threads and would trust him over any other option I've read about. I have a non-FFV 17' with a Magnuson with the Bulldog tune. It has been super reliable and stable for me but certainly lacking some. If my current situation was different (f'd from the Vid) I'd be jumping all over this. When I first saw Viktor offering this I got butterflies in my stomach because I already knew I trusted it 100% and he would get it done right!!!

    Victor,
My local Toyota dealer won't perform the ECM flash for after I install the TRD SC. I looked on your website and don't see what I need to click/ purchase when the time comes. What information do you need from me? 2007 5.7L non-flex, TRD SC, Magnaflow single exhaust, RedRock CAI (I wonder if I can use this in lieu of the TRD air intake?) Thanks for the help.
