Hit a deer last week in my 2019. $6,300 in damage. Ideas for a new bumper on a stock Tundra??? Insurance does not want to pay for an OEM one. The stock one crumpled so bad it locked my front tire.

"Insurance doesn't want to pay for an OEM one" ??? WTF? :monocle: They should pay enough for repairs at the dealership using all OEM parts. If you were close, I have headlights, grill with surround and bulge, fog light.

ARB bumper will fend off a deer hit. Very strong, not inexpensive either and some love the look others do not. I had one on an 4wd Trooper many years ago and it was the best bumper I have ever owned.

Yea, nuts! They made the body shop quote an "quality replacement" bumper since the truck is over a year old. They will only replace with OEM if the other is out of stock. So, I am looking to get something beefier and just foot the difference!

OME Nitrocharger/2612 (front), Bilstein 5100s (rear). Vanguard roll bar modified (by me) to fit over Patriot Stealth retractable tonneau. Aftermarket halo headlights with HID, various LED bulb replacements. 17" Fuel Blitz wheels with some 33" Nitto terra grapplers. Hoodscoop, nfab nerfbars, Bushwacker flares. No-name aftermarket grille, led fender extensions. Black Horse bambi-basher. Various offroad lights.
Lots of options depending on your budget. Get a bambi-basher with some thicker steel (3/16 plate) vs the more ornamental ones, maybe one with the "prerunner" tubes that come up and protect the grill. Probably have to beef up your front coils too, as the ones meant to actually splatter a deer are quite heavy. Like fricho said, ARB makes some very nice products, but there's plenty to choose from. Here's a link to get a quick idea of some of the available choices 2019 Toyota Tundra Off-Road Steel Front Bumpers — CARiD.com

Some of the Iron Bull ones look suited for all your mad-max post-apocalypse deer crushing needs. :D

Well as long as they are footing the costs, I say find a very expensive after market replacement bumper.

I do find it odd that they will not replace with a oem bumper, normally its the other way around you want something other than ome, you pay the difference.

Ranch hand Summit series bullnose, have it, love it. Very much well built! Photos do no justice. Depending on front end, might need to stiffen it or lift a bit though with this beast.

I am a fan as well!
The ARB is really the standard OEM replacement and I think is the only aftermarket bumper actually certified and tested to replace the OEM too but I like the way the Ranch Hands look and they look favored to win against most Deer to my eyes!

Got a Ranch Hand midnite series on my tundra. Has taken out a pretty good size hog so far & no damage

Now you have me thinking about that bumper. I was going to go with a hidden winch bumper but we have a lot of deer up here.

Me too. I had one on my 4runner and it was beefy. I want to say its the only aftermarket bumper that is airbag compliant, not positive though.

I would definitely switch my insurance after it's all done. Imagine damage would be more serious? What a crook company

Although i agree with you, i've never had or heard from anyone i know that insurance company refusing to use OEM parts on vehicle. That's a ground for a lawsuit in my opinion

I agree with you! Its weird… the ac condenser assembly, grill, emblem, hood latch, and fog lamp were all approved as OEM. Left headlight will be remanufactured and the rest are “quality replacement parts”.

Also worth to mention that, depending on state probably, you can collect the check from your insurance company and do repairs yourself, meaning in the body shop you trust that will do a proper job with proper parts
