I just installed the 3wliners low module. I used an add-a-fuse to tap into the IGN fuse. I tried a 5 and 7.5 amp fuse and both popped after just 1 window going down automatically. For those of you that have installed the module, what size fuse did you use? Trying to see if its a fuse size issue or if one of the wires is shorting.

Sounds like a loose or cut wire. Had a 5amp in mine when I installed it.

Thanks for the quick response. I figured 5A would have been plenty. I'll pull the door panel and check everything again to make sure nothing got nicked.

Did you ever get this lined out? Also, does this thing make it to where every time you use your window switch it goes all the way up or down? Or does it somehow make the switch pressure sensitive so you don’t have to go all the way up or all the way down each time you use the switch?

It's similar to when you fully press the window button down. It will go all the way down unless you pull the switch up, and at that point the window stops moving. So you only want it half way down for instance, press the button down and pull it back up when the window is about half way and that will stop it.

And there’s no way to get constant power inside the cab rather than running the power wire for the low version directly to the battery through the firewall? I can do that, just figured if there’s constant power in the cab, why not use it instead?

I would just run to battery but that's just me. Toyota is pretty damn efficient when it comes to these trucks. Most likely any wire you tap into is rated for almost exactly what it's being used for. Adding additional draw from these could cause issues down the line.

Will this module work without constant 12v if you aren't planning to use your remote to roll the windows down?

I’m sure it would, but I don’t see why you wouldn’t use that feature. I’m already finding it super handy. Are you just not wanting to run the wire into the cab then through the firewall?

No, running the wire through the firewall is not an issue. I have an aftermarket alarm so didn't want to connect too many things associated with the lock/unlock buttons.

On another thread related to the 3wliners someone tried it without the 12v wire the module didn't work.

    Thanks everyone!
