Parking Sensors

I just purchased a 2014 extended cab limited this past weekend and the truck has parking sensors on both the front and rear bumper. However, they do not go off when in close proximity to anything like my other vehicles with parking sensors.

I noticed the truck doesn't have the parking sensor button to the right of the steering wheel but instead has this button to the left of the steering wheel. Pressing it does not do anything that I can tell. Do they put the parking sensors in the bumpers even if it doesn't actually have it? Is this some aftermarket mod with the switch? The truck hasn't been modified at all that I can tell.

Thanks. So does Toyota just put the parking sensors on all the vehicles even if it doesn't have that feature? The bumpers are definitely stock.

 

Not that I know of. On my model the button for this is next to the USB ports under the radio.

Your button is replacing Auto highbeams or something similar.
