Hi everyone! I am trying to decide between Black casing & clear lenses with Halo projection headlights OR Chrome casing & smoke lenses with Halo projection headlights.

Unfortunately the FL sun has killed my headlight lenses and they have been restored a few times already... at this point, it's cheaper to just get new headlights. I am having such a difficult time deciding which would look best. As you can see from my pic my truck is Dark Gray with blacked out emblems. I am also getting a new Black grill since mine is too weathered to even bother cleaning it and re-dipping or painting it.
    current situation.jpg black.jpg truck with black example.jpg chrome.jpg chrome truck.jpg

The 1st pic is my current situation. 2nd black casing & clear and example from website. Then chrome casing & smoke lens and another example from website.

So Thoughts on which one will look best? Thanks!!! :)

OME Nitrocharger/2612 (front), Bilstein 5100s (rear). Vanguard roll bar modified (by me) to fit over Patriot Stealth retractable tonneau. Aftermarket halo headlights with HID, various LED bulb replacements. 17" Fuel Blitz wheels with some 33" Nitto terra grapplers. Hoodscoop, nfab nerfbars, Bushwacker flares. No-name aftermarket grille, led fender extensions. Black Horse bambi-basher. Various offroad lights.
Can't really see a difference between the two sets, except that the bottom one might have a glossier black plastic with a slight tint to lens? Maybe see if you can get some better photos for us, or link the site. Smoke tint is always a bonus at the cost of a bit of brightness (halos won't be as obvious).

    Welcome from SoCal.

Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)! With the color of your truck, the black casing would look pretty good.

Hey Cindy. What part of FL are you in? FL here too. Post a pic of your grill. I have a gloss black grill surround if you want to move your center insert over to it.

To Me, smoked headlight lenses are right up there with dingle balls, led strips inside fenders, sub woofers inside beds, blacked out wind shields, ad nausium....
    Keep the clear.
BTW. my wife's lenses on her Acura were much worse and I brought them back with fine cut abrasive disks and WD40 for cutting fluid. After that, a finishing polish with Meguiars 502. They look brand new and still look like new after a year.

I agree they look exactly the same but the 1st one is black casing & clear lenses and the 2nd
My grill was plasti-dipped years ago and then of course painted over and over so I purchased a new grill. It would take a TON of work to strip it which is why I just purchased a new that is already black.

This is what I purchased. [IMG]

I have had them done so many times. I think when the strobe lights got installed, the lenses weren't sealed well. There is moisture inside the lenses in addition to the fade.
