Buddy of mine asked me to go along to a local range and shot in a military rifle competition today. Used an AF15, iron sites at 100 yards. First 5 shots from the bench with only one sandbag allowed at the front. The 2nd 5 shots was either prone, knelling or standing, no rest. I shot prone. Ended up out of 17 competitors I took 2nd. 83 points total, just 2 points from tying 1st place. Very happy with this since it was iron sites only. 8FA675E0-27DF-4C5A-B785-A97F5F0E6260.jpg

It was a great time but I don’t believe I’ll be asked to come back soon. I used my buddies rifle and I ended up beating him by one point.

I’m still at the point of shooting in the general direction of the target and hoping to not look silly.

Thanks, and yes it was the first time I shot it and the first time experiencing it with a silencer. The 5.56 sounded like a 22 going off the the recoil was straight back rather than kicking the barrel up. Really kept the target in sight. Loved it.

It’s very expensive. Think my buddy spent close to $2000 for the equipment and all of the legal paperwork that goes with it. That cuts to much into my tundra mods :D
