After years of using a Gas grill, I finally decided to up the ante a bit. I bought an Oklahoma Joe's Rider 900 Pellet Grill.

Great grill. It's easy to use and set up. Not to mention it pretty much takes care of itself.2F3196C1-5F7F-4F24-BF07-270E01F47767.jpgE0263B9C-EBD4-4F61-86F0-FC789E5E3936.jpg

I've been figuring this thing out over the last few days, and wow, what a difference! It takes longer, but it's well worth the wait.

Did my first smoked Brisket yesterday. It came really good. Next one I'll shorten the time a little to see how it tastes..

Very nice. I recently got a black olive pellet grill/smoker, I want to make some home made bacon. Seems easy enough. Saw a video from the bearded butchers. That made me think I can do it.

Very nice grill. As long as it cooks animals and plants to a state of done. You did well! Try a beef tenderloin… mmm

    Thanks much!
There's close to 100 recipes on the Oklahoma Joe's website that I want to try... Man, this is going to be fun!

If you don’t have one get a meat temp probe. There not expensive and that’s the only way I grill now. Also remember resting times increase internal temps, 130 isn’t always 130 in 10 minutes.

YouTube how to bbq right. He’s one I follow.

I’ve been making bacon for a few years in my Green Mountain - to the point I almost can’t bring myself to buy store bought bacon any more.

I looked at the Treager whenI was shopping, but that was a little more than I wanted to spend. The Oklahoma had lots of good reviews, so I jumped on one.

I just got one last month for my birthday. I tried a brisket for the first time on Memorial Day weekend, and can't wait to break it in some more!

Pellet grills are great. I have 9 grills (wood, charcoal, gas, pellet, electric etc.) and grill at least 5 times a week, and the pellet grill gets used probably 90% of the time. Very convenient and versatile.

Dri rub some baby backs and be sure to pull the membrane off the back to get the most seasoning into the meat.
About 5.5 hours at 220 for a few racks should do it just fine.
