Please pick this build apart. If there is any problems I want to know about them before I pull the trigger. I think I have thought of everything but it's always good to check with folks that know more than I do.

I want to put a lift kit on my Smoked Mesquite 2021 1794. The goal is to raise the lift to accommodate 17 inch wheels with Faulken AT3 tires without doing any body trimming if possible. I also want to keep the inside fender walls.

The front shocks will be Bilstein 6112 set at 2.5 inches and one 1/2 inch spacer on each side. I already measured and I don't have the left side "Tundra lean". The rear shocks will be 5160's with an adjustable shackle set at one inch. Not sure if I will need spacers for the bump stops because of the spacer but it so I can include them.

    Tire specs:
    LT285/75R17 Load E Service Desc 121/118S Approved Rim Width 7.5 - 9.5 Rim Width 8 Overall Diameter 33.9 Overall Width 11.1 Revs Per Mile 617 Tread Depth/32nds 18 Tire Weight 65.5 Max Load Single/Dual 3195 / 2910 Max Pressure PSI 80

These tires are actually pretty close to the weight of the stock tires at 65.5 pounds as compared to the stock 60.2 pound tires.

The wheels have a +15 degree offset as compared to the stock offset of +60.

I will have fender flares that offer 2.25 inches of coverage from the stock fender. I don't want the tires to stick out beyond the fender flares. I am going to color match the fender flares.

OME Nitrocharger/2612 (front), Bilstein 5100s (rear). Vanguard roll bar modified (by me) to fit over Patriot Stealth retractable tonneau. Aftermarket halo headlights with HID, various LED bulb replacements. 17" Fuel Blitz wheels with some 33" Nitto terra grapplers. Hoodscoop, nfab nerfbars, Bushwacker flares. No-name aftermarket grille, led fender extensions. Black Horse bambi-basher. Various offroad lights.
Those rims will look good with your truck color. The bottom set matches my aesthetic more, nice choice either way. I drive a 2nd gen so I don't know if the numbers are the same, but I've got 17x9s at offset 1 and some nitto terra grapplers at 285/70r17 and they come out exactly to the edge of my bushwacker flares.

    Thanks for the response.

I agree with you on the looks of the bottom wheel. I am leaning that way.

I used this web sight and it shows that that outside of a +25 offset wheel moves out just at 2 inches compared to stock. My wheel is.75 inches inside the fender now. That would put my wheel at about 1.75 inches poking out of the wheel well. Of course I might be all wrong too. Not that that's ever happened before (it has).

What are you wanting out of the truck?
A little bit of lift and a mediocre ride?

While Bilsteins are decent, that is all they are.

I would also not buy any other rear shackles than the Coachbuilders in the height that you want. They are great shackles.

The Wildpeaks are really good tires and you’ll be happy with them.
Though that is a little bit of an odd ball size limiting your options.

You might be right on the Bilsteins. The gave me a 12 week wait time. Going to completely revise the build after some thought.

Coachbulder doesn't give me the height that I need for a shackle.

What are you wanting out of the build that you NEED more than 1.75” of lift in the rear?

The lean usually doesn’t show up until after the lift. Might want to prepare for that.

Yeah. thought about that already. Just waiting to see how much it is before I put the shims in. We have a bet whether it is more or less than half an inch. Loser has to buy the shim or shims.

I tried to order the Bilstein 6112 and they told me the wait would be around 12 weeks. Waiting is something that I have been doing a lot of in a lot of areas lately. I don't want to wait that long.

I can't seem to find Grid Wheels from a dealer that doesn't have shipping issues. I don't want another online long distance argument about late shipping. Those kinds of situations just get frustrating.

For shocks I am between Fox 2.5s and Bilstein 8112s. Not sure which I want yet. The Fox will give me up to 3 1/2 inches of lift in the front. The Bilsteins will give me up to 3 1/4 inches of lift in the front. I am leaning towards the Fox shocks.

    Fox shocks:

The Bilstein 8100 series has a different part number shock for each corner so it has 4 different shocks for the set.

I couldn't find an online shop for the Grid wheels that I trust so I changed my mind. I think I am going to get bronze and black Fuel Coverts. I changed the fender flares as my tires won't stick out so much. I am sticking with the original size tires. I am going with the Pro Form shackles that will give me a full 2 inches of lift. I am still trying to figure out if I want new bump stops or air gags for the rear shackles.
