Be it known I have no affiliation with this product.
I just happened to find them on Amazon....

CCR Sport Deck Rail Tie Down Hook for Tundra with a cover and rail system

I've had a Undercover Flex on my non-bedrail 2014 DC since I bought it.
I've had issues for years of the Flex clamps not grabbing on to one of the bed rails.
Almost every time I closed it, even gently, the right side rail would come off/loose.
    It was very frustrating.
Undercover sent me a new set for free, same issue.

I decided maybe if I had the OEM rail system and appropriate Undercover clamps, it would work better.
Those clamps are held in place with the rail, then the Flex rail clamps to it, instead of the bed rail.
This year I inquired to Undercover about buying a set of the rail system clamps for my Flex.
Undercover sent them for free, got to give it to them for customer service.

SO I bought a rail system last month and installed it.
The cover is now rock solid, no problems.

But I realized, and Undercover cover did tell me, the OEM rail system tie downs couldn't be used with the Flex.
The Flex rails would be in the way.

So in my search of wanting tie downs, I found these on Amazon.

Amazon.com: CCR Sport Deck Rail Tie Down Hook for Toyota Tundra/Tacoma (4-Pack): Automotive

    Installed them today.
    With a little modding/bending they are what I wanted/needed.
Took a little finessing to get the bolt in the rail, insert and turn clockwise, but I got them in.
Then a little gentleness installing the hook and bolt so the nut didn't turn in the rail.
The nuts have a spring to hold them in place, but gentleness is still required.
They don't easily slide up and down the rail, so if you need to move them, be ready to remove and replace.

First install didn't leave much room for strap hooks.
Bunge cords and small hooks would be fine, but my larger Ratchet Tie Down Straps would hit the Flex rail under tension.

Took each hook to the vise with padding and a crowbar and bent them out slightly to give more clearance.

Now there is plenty of room for hooks.

Bought a 7/32 hex wrench to toss in the swingcase in case I need to move them.
Goes with my Torx 30 (taillights) and 10MM nut driver (grille/headlight removal).
Always prepared to swap a burned out bulb when it happens and carry spare LED bulbs.
Although not not so much since buying 2019 LED headlights..:p

Plenty of clearance for the cover, just keep it away from the seams.

    Very happy with it...

My wife will buy stuff (furniture, big stuff, whatever) on a whim and we have to haul it home.
Always carrying bungee cords and ratchet straps in the swing case, we're ready to haul it home...:D

Instead of bending them could you have not just flipped them upside down so they angle down instead of up?
Or is there something that prevents them from being installed upside down?

The Flex rail was in the way to flip them.....
You can't even see the top of the OEM bed rails because of the Flex cover rail in the top pic.
You can barely see the top OEM bed rail in the second angled looking up pic.
Imagine this, upside down, not gonna happen.....
