Heated steering wheel

Any way to do a heated steering wheel on a 2020 tundra???

That’s the one piece I truly miss from my GMC Yukon XL. My wife has it on her Ford Explorer and it really is a nice feature.

Maybe if you live further south, but it sure is nice when it's a -45C windchill and your vehicle has been outside overnight.

 

I have it, and if I drove with both hands on the wheel it would be the best. But, I only have two fingers and a thumb that are happy.

 

I started thinking about doing this mod because I really like the heated steering wheel in my Lexus. I think it is possible except the Lexus wheel is about $750 and then you need to get power wires to it. I bought a pair of driving gloves.

 

Bruh I live in Louisiana and I use the heated wheel in my GX all the time

 

I can assure you it is very much not unnecessary. My wheel has been ice cold all week, even garage parking it.

But seriously, it is great when the temp is chilly. It really helps to take the edge off while waiting for the poorly ducted heater to start blowing.

 

It’s been a steady -20 to -30 the last week here and the heated steering is absolutely magical.

 

It was only -1 here and that heated steering wheel was freaking nice!

 

I never had one until my 22 Limited, and never felt I needed one. Now, I’ll never buy a vehicle without one! A true luxury here in New England.

 

Heated steering wheel and DRM are both luxuries I never knew I needed until I had them.

 

Said the guy from Georgia. I went to FLETC in the fall and when I asked if it got cold in the winter the answer was, "Oh yeah, it gets into the 50s near Christmas." The "winter gear" I was assigned was a windbreaker.
