I was devirginized by a 1977 Sr5 shortbed that was almost new when we put a 4spd in it..............................
to convert to 4WD. It was the shops requirements as I recall, I was 12. I know 12, but eager and learned a lot.
After it was converted with a J*** front axle and I cannot remember the TC we put a weber on the 20R and whoa boy it kicked ass. I do have pics somewhere, I will post.
Forward to drunken older brother (RIP) who bought a 78 Celica liftback GT 5 spd new for $6500 and let me throttle it all over the Santa Cruz mountains of Ca at 13 while he got "ready" for his swing shift at the FMC plant in San Jose.
I proceeded to buy a 78 GT 5spd coupe at 15 and that is a whole 'nother story lol in itself.
Today we own ALL 3 Tundras we have ever had and 1 Sequoia for the wife.

While I HAVE broken/rolled them, they do get you home while broken and bruised. Insane.

1987 Isuzu Trooper manual (drove it to rattling)
1998 Tacoma SR5 manual (but soon wanted an automatic)
2001 Tundra SR5 (but eventually needed more rear seating)
    2011 4runner SR5 (totaled in 2021)
2021 Tundra SR5 (did not want an early 4th gen)

All these rigs had their benefits, but the 2001 Tundra stands out as overbuilt, and the 2011 4runner for being tight as a drum and well thought-out. The 2021 Tundra is great but feels a bit flimsy by comparison, a sign of the times.

    1. 2000 Tundra SR5 TRD Access Cab in the silver sky blue. Was used as a serious work truck for 2 extensive home renovations. It was a great truck even though I had to replace the transmission at 115K. Had 150K on it when I upgraded to:
    2. 2007 Tundra Limited Crewmax in black. Have loved this one a lot with mods and upgrades. Also used as a weekend warrior “work” truck but have been gentler with this one than with the previous. Currently have 125K and going strong.

I will never not have a Tundra.

Wow. You guys have had some nice rides over the years! Funny, I am now on my third Tundra. I bought my first one when the wife got tired of me bitching about my F150 always being in the shop.
    Here are my 3.
    2013 DC SR5 “cherry popper”
    2014 CM Limited
2021 CM Limited. My favorite! Minus the sound system.
