Tundra in BC: 173kph in a 50 zone

Can a Tundra even go this fast?

I didn't open the link but my phone says that's 107 mph. My Tundra used to be able to do that no problem!

 

If my quick math is right he was riding the governor which is around 107-108mph. At least on my 2010 it is.

 

Thanks, everyone, for the conversion to Freedom Units. I wasn’t following along at first.

 

It doesn't sound as fast when you convert it from communist units to freedom units. My dirtbike can go 173 kilometers an hour.

They should be fine, depending on the policy of where they're staying. Some places aren't accepting reservations from outside the province or outside their health region. I'd call to be sure. That said, my parents are driving from Abbotsford to deal with family stuff in Dawson Creek in a couple weeks, then coming to visit here in GP.

 

It must have been on a straight stretch. 9.9/10 vehicles with red-lettered plates can’t take a corner without first coming to a complete stop.

 

Mine hits 119 no problem, I haven't tried to go faster and never in traffic or worse in construction.

Reminds me of the time I ended up in an informal convoy with 2 BC plated trucks heading down through the North Thompson River Valley. 3 of us doing 15 - 20 over the limit, taking turns being the bird dog. I pulled into the Petro-Can just outside Kamloops and the guy behind me did too. Probably should stick to gravel roads.
Apparently, asphalt and concrete can’t handle the great northern tundra.
