I am going to try and avoid the dealership from now on and I am due for some services that take money and time like transmission, transfer case, and differentials. What service manual does everyone recommend? Hanes?

There's a Toyota factory service manual floating around the forums, but it's for a 2014 or 2015 model year. It'd easily cover the big stuff on the truck in your profile picture, but it always seemed odd to me that the download files are hosted on new zealand or russian servers.

Interested in hearing from others too!

Thanks 1UP. I guess I should have done a site search before posting.

Before someone reads this and tries the links as an answer, these links aren't updated and lead to dead ends or sites that have model information that doesn't match the description. Maybe I messed something up. The links for 2014+ all go to a site that stops listing years later than 2010. The second will be helpful for one-off questions, but I didn't see a manual recommendation or link.

Hanes manuals are easy enough to get at the local parts store. I am just wondering if there is something better that is as easy to get.

Best bet would be the Factory Service Manual (FSM) but they’re usually pricey. After that I would get Haynes or Chiltons and look things up on the forum

Sorry OP that those didn't help. Knew where the threads were but had never looked into them.
