Anyone have an in-dash aftermarket DVD player you like? May entertain doing the headrests at some point too... thanks!

Haha I wish! I said "Nice!", not "ordered".

I would be watching music videos of Jana Kramer instead of the road. I would crash my truck in a week.

I'm considering the Kenwood DNX893S with Apple CarPlay. FWIW I will never own another Pioneer head unit.

    Get a crux interface.

I've installed one in my truck (less then 200). I hooked up a media player to it. (WD tv live, which I had in the house and use USB sticks filled with videos and tv shows. But any media player with rca outputs will work)

With the bypass installed I can play videos on the head unit while in motion and access the nav controls all while keeping all the stock steering wheel controls fully functional.

It's awesome and such a cheep option that will do everything you need.

Why root when the Sony does it free with mirrorlink. 29 bucks plus rooted forget that highway robbery.

If you're Semi-skilled with a soldering iron, you could check out my FRAC-AV mod. It will unlock the AV function of the Entune HU and provide Front/Rear Anytime Cams.

It won't help you with DVDs, though. Lol.
