If given the choice of a 2019 Platinum with 25K miles Certified, or a new 2021 TRD Off Road dealer demo, both the same price and comparable warranty, which would you chose? Will need a 23 ft Airstream too.
    Thanks in advance!

Tough choice. On one hand, you get to know everything that's been done to the truck on the new one. However, the Platinum is probably pretty nice on the inside and is certified. I think you just go with personal preference on this one. I'd go off-road just because I like them better, and it's new.

2021 has 1270# payload on the door stick, 2019 Plat has 1185# payload on the door sticker. 20" wheels on Plat are great but I could probably upgrade the TRD Off Road to have 20" wheels. I wonder which one has better resale if I decide to upgrade within a year or two...?

Definitely the 2021 with lower miles and same price. You can easily add leather and other goodies to the OR version but you can't remove those 25K miles or the 3 years of age on the platinum. OR version has better payload and shocks too. Unless the platinum has the OR or sport package, it has the weak black shocks which will not help handling or towing.

So, newer OR is my vote and then add leather if you want and do add the TRD sway bar- it REALLY helps with towing and on road handling.

I would get the 21 for CarPlay alone. Much much better than the interface of the stock head unit

SR5. The off road shocks are actually pretty great, plus you get the black trim LED headlights from the Pro, dual climate, CarPlay, and these really awesome cloth seats that are never too hot or too cold, lol.

If I’m gonna tow anything like that Airstream, boat, etc...I’m going to wait until the next gen Tundra comes out. That pithy amount of payload will haunt you going forward.

The 19 of course says the 19 Platinum owner who tows a camper easily and rides in Lexus leather comfort with air cooled seats. I bought mine certified and for towing it’s nice to have the extended warranty just in case that whole transmission cooler on the sticker but not on the truck comes into play. I bought mine with 12k. It’s all about personal preference. I had a SR5 with the leather seats added but it was a hot mess in my opinion. I traded in my SR5 (after only 3 weeks) for the premium and made 500 more than I paid for the SR5. I was always a Chevy guy but my Cav Blue SR5 was so cool looking and I did enjoy the power so I knew I had to find the Z71 version of the Tundra. Good luck. It’s a Toyota so you’ll be fine either way.

Kind of partial to Platinum, but that is my vote... love the memory seats and steering column, my wife and I are about a foot different in height... also, because I have a ‘20, I have car play, no mast antenna and push to start.

Well, after much, much research and overthinking....I got a new (2021) Limited TRD Off Road 4WD. I went with the Cement color. I kind of wanted the Platinum over the SR5 and Limited, but the new Platinum were at least 10K more than this particular Limited. I also decided to go new so I could get one with no miles. Also the moonroof and power steering adjustment was lost on me. I hope I made the right decision there. Markups in California are crazy but I shopped around so much that I got a pretty good price. I extended the warranty too. The JBL stereo upgrade is WELL worth the upgrade. I am not sure if I should keep the 18" wheels or upgrade to 20". Any thoughts there? I will most likely get some black TRD Pro wheels and a retractable tonneau cover soon.
Many thanks to all of you for chiming in on this thread...Great posts everyone!

Congrats !!!!! My personal favorite color. IMO keep the 18s for ride quality and black out those exterior badges. A+
